AirP. wrote:Butler and Rozier had the worst +/- on the team because Phoenix couldn't score for most of the 4th. Such a misleading stat.

wrong, they had the worst +/- the entire time after the end of the 1st quarter. Jimmy's finally went from -20 to -17 when entering the fourth. Roziers was holding on to that -21 all game since the end of the 1st quarter practically.

There's a reason Rozier wasn't allowed back into the game for Defensive purposes on that run at the end to close.

This team has always been good when we play with effort. That’s defiantly been missed I think that’s why we are a different animal during the PO

Tank has us drafting wing defensive specialist, Ryan Dunn, to fix our offense.

 he defintely shouldn’t have been benched last game but he was also getting crucified by the fanbase for his play prior to his benching. I love JRich and don’t think he’s been as bad as some people say but everyone is prisoners of the moment, if he was playing his proper role he would be better. I hope he can keep it up

Energy was lacking early tonight. I think the captain will have better body language wednesday and the rest of the team will play their best basketball in a while, high time to put this streak to rest.

The key is playing his proper role. He’s a solid defensive two guard that just needs to take what’s given to him on offense. He’s what the compliment should be to someone like Rozier. We need a defensive PG to match with Herro though.

He had the teams worst +/- also had the teams worst +/- before our 4th quarter run too, and was playing abhorrent defense. The reason why we were able to make that run to begin with was because our defense was actually doing work on the other side of the ball. I am sure the coaching staff saw the same thing we all saw watching the game.

Yup! Rozier was just doing what he’s good at. Playing zero defense, scoring meaningless points while losing. He’s in his element tonight, no thought in his mind of possibly winning, so he out there just putting up gym shots no pressure.

I’m down to retool the entire guard position around Terry, JRich is a cheap solid fit. Caruso would be a match made in heaven

Need a stretch Center (or stretch “PF” if we’re still pretending  ) to make Bam and Jimmy playable together again on offense. Idk what happened when Jimmy returned, but the fit is worse than ever before.

I truly think a true scoring big that defenses have to honor outside solves the inability to score in these long stretches. Contrary to popular belief, our issue is truly not defense. It’s been bad, but the root is horrible offense for long stretches leading to easy buckets and mismatches that are easy to exploit.

Caruso is a dream come true but going to be a tough get. J Rich is an in house fix and possibly even a darkhorse like Alondes Williams.
