this is a good point by plowright

This is very intentional from Rozier IMO, he’s sending a message because he cares, not because he doesn’t

The reason it’s been that way is because

A) The Hornets are known to be at a competitive disadvantage due to low spending

B) Poor organizational leaderships (on and off the court).

You start the change by tackling those two things head on.

we heard same thing from oubre (but his was for salty reasons)

the mj rot is deep and will take time to remove. but if they keep mitch around for some front office role, it will signal to me that the new owners still dont get it

It just doesn't feel like a serious criticism.

You mean the immaturity stuff?

Melo gassing it and running red lights leaving the arena, smoking weed on social media before play in games, Miles sipping lean on video, beating his wife (girlfriend?), pool ball incident after the fact, Bouk passing out drunk or high or whatever in his car, PJs baby mama drama, Gordo's wife making statements about his injuries and availability and whatnot, the Monk stuff, I'm sure there's more.

It seems to be a clear criticism of the team being full of immature chuckleheads who care more about cutting up and being dipshits than they do about being serious NBA players.

I don't see much of an argument to the contrary.

So, just to be clear, it actually has nothing to do with how Melo acts during games?

If people want to randomly criticize Melo for stuff from like a year ago, then I guess go for it, but that doesn't feel like what is happening and it certainly has absolutely nothing to do with that video that went viral.

Yeah I don't really give a **** about that video specifically. it's just a snapshot of the culture rot that has been endemic within this franchise since Bob Johnson went against fan voting and named the team after himself, all the way through to MJ hiring everyone in his friend group to influential roles in the organization and not being willing to field a competent team, to selling to a couple of goobers who don't have the money nor wherewithal to do any serious house cleaning.

Add that to my previous post about the players immaturity and lack of accountability and it just displays a total lack of professionalism from the CEO all the way down to the last man on the team.

I don't know why you're so stuck on defending Melo specifically. He wasn't the only one in that video nor is he the only immature guy on the roster. This is a Charlotte Hornets issue. not just a Melo issue.

He's certainly not the cause, but I don't think he's doing much to fix it. That's a separate issue entirely though.

I think the video means absolutely nothing, is not a sign of anything, and is completely unrelated to other criticisms people have. I just find it annoying that the criticisms are being raised because of anything having to do with that game or the video.

Would anyone here trade LaMelo for Cade Cunningham?

Both could use fresh starts and because of the injury history and maturity, I'd easily do it

I think if Detroit wants to sell low then I would love to pair Melo, Cade and Miller. That would be some fire.

You've been really glass half empty lately coolio. I get it, but maybe a little too much IMO.

I know I'm jaded but I just don't know if LaMelo will ever get to the point of playing consistently, his body just hasn't accepted the NBA and we are 4 years in now
