Gave zero inkling of calling a timeout or even thinking of it. Almost threw the game and no one had the balls to ask about it. C'mon man.
One of the reasons I'm down on this team is the media coverage.
1. No team in the league has key players going out of the lineup with no timetable, Julius Randle injury was in NBA news cycle.
2. Right after the 3 losses, we had Dana Larson on Locked on Mavs (de facto team employee) absolving Kidd of all responsibility, and Bobby Karalla on MMB, gaslighting people that the team defense is actually good, only transition defense is bad, basically Kidd prop up in disguise.
People keep blaming injuries, Mavs lost to depleted Grizzlies twice, depleted Cavs, and NOP 2nd unit, OKC is playing great defense in 4 guards lineup.
The level of play since the 8-2 start is inexcusable, this is a team on mission to fix the disgrace of last year, and Jason Kidd is at the front of this mission, and everyone is busy making excuses for him.
Get this guy off the team, he does nothing well, and I mean nothing, offensively this team is playing well below its potential, and his strong suit, the defense, has been a laughing stock since game 7 against the Suns 2 years ago, he's running Luka to the ground again, and his in game management is a sad joke.
The coaching staff and FO enabling them are just not it, they need to go.
