Yeah, I think Nance is a perfect target in a Bobby trade because I think the Pels would actually throw in a little value on top of it. Bobby + Payne for Nance Jr., Alvarado, and the swap rights back on our 2024 or 2026 pick might honestly be a genius move if you then do a follow up trade and have a tradeable future 1st to deal.

Or something like:

Mil Out: Bobby, Cam Payne, Chris Livingston
Mil In: Nance Jr., Alvarado, Wes Matthews, 2024 pick swap rights extinguished

NOP Out: Jonas Valanciunas, Nance Jr., Alvarado, swap rights returned
NOP In: Clint Capella, Cam Payne, Livingston

ATL Out: Capella, Matthews
ATL In: Valanciunas, Bobby

And now you have all of Pat, Marjon, AJJ, the Portland 2nd rounder, and a 2024 1st round pick to go get the best available 3&D guy if you so choose.

Unless I’m mistaken, this would only allow us to then trade our 2024 swap again, but it wouldn’t unlock the pick to be traded until the draft, since we still wouldn’t have our 2025 first and the stepien rule is still at play.

Yeah, you're probably right. Would have to be the 2025 1st or 2026 pick swap then to make it any sort of valuable trade chip.

Building a Murray package you have to see it first from the Hawks' side. I'm making a list.

1. They don't need to get better this season. They currently hold #8 and it's probably their last chance to get a good prospect.
2. They don't have more time than that to be bad with SAS owning their 2024-2026 FRPs.
3. They need to cut some future money to resign Bey next offseason and avoid the tax.

So...

- They probably don't have interest in Middleton and Pat because of 1 and 3.
- They probably have interest in cheap talent they can develop (Marjon and AJJ).
- They probably prefer a cheap #35 than a 3rd FRP in 2024 draft (they own SAC too).
- Portis is a keeper for them at below MLE money and with no pure PF in the roster.

Which means the trade for them should be...

Murray for Portis, MarJon, AJJ, 2024 POR SRP (+ expiring and picks)

I did the math and they will have MLE money under the tax to resign Bey and run it back next season with this.

Young..........Bufkin......#35
Bogdanovic...#8...........MarJon
Hunter.........Bey..........AJJ
Johnson.......Portis.......Griffin
Capela........Okongwu...#21

I actually don;t hate it it for Atlanta but I think they need something more to save face since they paid too much for Murray. Here is my proposal.

Bucks in Murray, Matthews
Bucks out Bobby, Pat, MarJon, AJJ, POR 2024 SRP, 2027 SRP

Atlanta in Fournier, Portis, MarJon, AJJ, 2024 POR SRP, 2027 MIL SRP, 2028/2029 NYK SRPs
Atlanta out Murray, Mills, Matthews

Knicks in Mills, Pat
Knicks out Fournier, 2028/2029 SRPs

And that's probably my best shot at this...

We passed on trading KM for Jimmy... Jimmy and Giannis would have been to the finals more than once.

You have absolutely no idea what we passed on.

Whether or not all these hypothetical trades could have happened and would have led to whatever I do know this....

A lot of the people doing victory laps here were the same people saying Khris Middleton would never be the #2 on a championship team....... Hell, the clairvoyant I quoted has spent the last 10 years trying to plead for the Bucks to trade for DeMar DeRozan.

He wasn’t, Jrue was better…. We had Mids with Bled all those years… Jrue was the difference maker, Mids had one great game.. vs ATL.

And I wanted DD for Ersan, lol are you saying 33 yr old Ersan was better value than 23 year old DD, that’s when I proposed it, Hell DD will probably go down in NBA history as a better player than Mids much less Ersan

His only real positive attribute is rebounding. He had a use when we did not have enough scoring (and again only in the regular season) now he is a black hole that gets shots from better players.

Just trade him for a athletic PF/C that can play defense

Sure, but name the player. They just don't exist.

Tari Eason
Trey Murphy III
Jarred Vanderbilt
Santi Aldama

Just to name a few

That's a bunch of really nice players, but the only one the plays center is Aldama, and he shouldn't. He's soft as hell. The reason Houston is looking for a big, and might be interested in Bobby, is because Eason is a combo forward.

Id still love to add Eason, but we'd still need to add a stopgap center to get us through the regular season.

Get Biyombo on the buyout. We need 12 minutes a game in a pinch. Nance Jr. can play backup center if the rest of the guys are solid

You do realize you're on a Milwaukee Bucks message board filled with posters who watched the entire title run right? Like idk who you're trying to fool with blatant lies like this lol.

Some Mids games during the title run:

27/6/6 in game 1 vs. Miami + the game winner
35/15 in game 3 vs. Brooklyn
38/10/5 w/ 5 stl in game 6 vs. Brooklyn
38/11/7 in game 3 vs. Atlanta
26/13/8 in game 5 vs. Atlanta
32/4/7 in game 6 vs. Atlanta
29/7/4 in game 1 vs. Phoenix
40/6/4 in game 4 vs. Phoenix
29/7/5 in game 5 vs. Phoenix

24/8/5 for the title run as a whole, while being #1 in the entire postseason in clutch points.

Unfortunately Biyombo was really bad with Memphis this year. They cut him rather than trying to deal him at the deadline, despite everyone looking for a big.
