Fanduel sportsbook has already removed Embiid from MVP futures, and installed Jokic as the favorite against the field (-125).
Yikes.

So this is how Embiid looks like with Jokic type of whistle.

Last season might be the last of Embiids all nba years. Sad but I just can’t see him ever reaching 65 games a year again now that he’s going to be in his 30’s…
A great talent but just plagued by injuries.

What you're going to notice in these next couple of days is fake empathy from Jokic stans/ faux Nuggets fans. They don't care about Embiid being injured, they're now relieved that he's likely out of the MVP race and (and probably the season) and their guy is now in pole position. Ignore them.
If this is the end for Embiid this season, I'll remember this year as a standard setting year, the greatest ever by a single player.

Nonsense, Nuggets fans never really hated JoJo that much, they never really had any reason because Jokic got the 1st teams and the MVPs. The toxicity, backlash always came from Philly fans, who could not deal with the fact that he is the 2nd best center in the NBA.

*I posted tweets/videos of Embiid "faking" his injury and "ducking" from hack accounts on Twitter, but I really feel bad for him now and wish him a speedy recovery.

Re: NBA MVP Discussion Thread 2023-24 (Part 3: Son of Daughter of MVP thread)
MVP odds.
Jokic - $1.72
SGA - $4.00
Luka - $6.00
Giannis - $7.50
Tatum - $31 (I got him at $51 yesterday).
I still think there’s a world where the Celtics have 63-65 wins and a 10 game lead over the league and Tatum wins. It’s a long shot but Celtics have a fairly easy schedule in Feb. Only face 2 teams with a record over .500 (Sixers/Knicks). If they go 8-2 or 9-1, all of a sudden they’re on track for mid 60 wins.

Who ever you? For me I always congratulated when he had historical games or played great. Like the two games he out played jokic. The issue has always been with the fan bases. I tend to believe the majority of fan bases wouldn’t hate the actual player or wish ill upon them.

You also completely questioned the authenticity of him sitting out games.AleksandarN wrote:GeorgeSears wrote:*I posted tweets/videos of Embiid "faking" his injury and "ducking" from hack accounts on Twitter, but I really feel bad for him now and wish him a speedy recovery.

A great talent but just plagued by injuries.
I don't care for him as a player and think he's built his game off on baiting the ref's whistle. But I can't deny his talent and am also sad that he can't stay healthy. For some guys, their bodies just don't allow them to be. I read that Anthony Davis might be injury prone because he had a massive growth spurt and never grew into his body. I wonder if that's the case with Embiid.

I question the decision making. I questioned the whole organization. That also doesn’t mean I hate Embiid
