There’s some Jokic in him. I’m not going to go full bat

crazy on you guys, but there are similarities in my opinion. Running more offense through him could be beneficial. I’d love to see him get the starts instead of Thad Porter since we’re struggling to win right now. If he picks up quick fouls so be it.

These prototypical 3/4s were ahead of their time 10+ years ago. Lamar Odom comes to mind.

Thad's had a very productive 17 year career, he's no stiff. As a bench guy in certain matchups, he's still useful.

I always wanted Thad, even from that draft. Raps needed a premium 3-4 for years until Pascal and OG were drafted. OG had the physicality and Siakam had the playmaking ability, but neither had the complete package like Thad.

What drove me crazy about Nurse in the 2022-2023 season was that Thad (the passer) and Juancho (the cutter) had clearly found a nice chemistry early on, until Nurse split them up. When the Raptors had injuries, either Nurse would start Thad and bring Juancho off the bench, or the opposite. But he stopped playing them together. smh

Honestly, if it weren't for our completely bloated frontcourt, he should have been getting minutes the previous 2 seasons.

It's clear he can provide value.

Thad is one of the best bench players in the league. Same with Schroder and Bruce. This team is stacked and just needs to get healthy

While I'm bitching about Nurse, just another reason I'm happy he's gone. He could not find any real minutes for Young for two years without a centre, even from the bench. How egotisitcal do you have to be to dig you heels in and to never try and figure that out.

He's no standout but the guy and play pretty decent minutes against most teams.

While this is obviously hyperbole, this team completely healthy is to good to be tanking. Especially once they get chemistry to. This season is lost though - so i REALLY do not want that to happen at this point.

But really a team of

IQ/Schroder
Barrett/GTJ
Brown/Nwora/Dick
Barnes/Thad/Boucher
Poeltl/Porter

is actually 10-12 solid guys. Feels weird to say that considering earlier in the year we could barely throw out 7 playable guys.

Thad should have been playing backup PF minutes the whole time. He was the obvious answer when the bench unit consisted of so many low IQ players.

Dude has never played C in his life and yet this dumbass management kept throwing him out there at that position because of horrible roster construction. This made him look worse than he actually is since he's never been the last line of defense type player.
