Okay, thanks for your patience all, here's a recap:
loserX wrote:1) How many trades will there be between Wednesday, January 31 (this writing) and Thursday, February 8 (the deadline)?
This was after the Rozier/Lowry trade, but before the Oladipo/Adams trade. From the latter through the end of the deadline, there were
19 trades.
loserX wrote:2) How many players (draft rights included) will be traded?
Including draft rights,
50 players were traded!
loserX wrote:3) How many 1st round draft picks will be traded? Of these, how many will be 2024 1st rounders?
This got complicated lol. One pick was traded twice (from OKC to Dallas, then from Dallas to Washington), one other pick was traded (from Dallas FOR Washington!), and then there were two swaps, which might be two picks each or zero! So if you said
two, three or seven, give yourself a point
Of these, that first pick was 2024 and traded twice, so give yourself a point for
one or two depending how you want to count.
loserX wrote:4) Who will be the biggest name traded?
I mean I guess it was
Gordon Hayward. Going to imagine no one picked him for this answer, lol.
loserX wrote:5) Who will be the most *surprising* name traded?
I don't think there were any real stunners. Maybe
Steven Adams? No real wrong answer here.
loserX wrote:6) One trade that I predict *will* happen is ________________. (Be specific! Who, to where, for whom?)
7) Realistically, I would like my team (name them!) to __________________.
8) Instead, I expect my team to _______________.
How did you do?
loserX wrote:9) Which team(s) will be involved in the most trades?
4 trades each:
Detroit, Philadelphia3 trades each: Boston, Dallas, Memphis, OKC
2 trades each: Brooklyn, Charlotte, Indiana, Milwaukee, Toronto, Utah
1 trade each: Golden State, Minnesota, New York, Phoenix, Portland, Sacramento, San Antonio, Washington
0 trades each: Atlanta, Chicago, Cleveland, Denver, Houston, LA Clippers, LA Lakers, Miami, New Orleans, Orlando
Thanks to all those who played

We'll do this again next year!
