McClung might seriously be better than Cole

Extending Cole was stupid. We get suckered sometimes when deals come by cheap but he's not even worth a roster spot.

When will people learn that majority of G league is made out of players who can't get serious professional contracts anywhere else?

This is G league's best player

he probably has contract payout in mcDonalds cupons.

4th best scorer in that league was bounced around Europe where he couldn't find serious club. Now he averages 25 ppg in G league.

They only stay in G league due some delusion somebody will get them nba contract and probably because they don't want to play in Kazahstan.

Those dudes make $40K a year while having career where you are "old dirt" at age of 29. Flipping burgers might be better career choice than what those players do. It's poor nonsense.

I know for fact that every year several "great G league players" go to Europe, just to be deemed unplayable for organized basketball.
G league is up there with College hoops in terms of lack of quality.
Portion of G league is filled from street- tryouts. Not to mention players who end up in G league comming from B division of already exotic countries ( DJ Johnson comming to Warriors G league team via Japneese B league ).

Almost any nba talent should be G league - Lebron James. Because that should be difference in quality & talent between him and players that are there.

Back in a day, JJ Barea averaged 27-8-5 in G league. I can understand him being scoring machine & looking like Magic Johnson. I still don't understand how can in even amateur league somebody who is 5'8 get -5 rebounds a game. ( oh on 54% FG & 44% for 3 ).

To agree: Mac McClung is going for 25/7/5 right now. Those are all world numbers for a guy who could not make the #18th man on the Magic roster this year.

We get that.... but wouldn't it also make sense that.... good players in the NBA ... should also play well in the G-league? I would think so. And this is a rookie lottery player GETTING some experience in the G-League... and not just an undrafted player trying to get into the league and get a chance. Jett was drafted for his potential and his current training ground also just happens to be the G-League .... so blanketed statements might not apply to him as much. But at the end of the dayyyyy.... we will still have to see how well this all transitions to the NBA.... just might not be till next season.

Needless to say... great job Jett... and we're cheering you on.
