Disgusted by the national media. I can understand fans behaving as such but aren't they supppse to remain professional neutral instead of piling on and pressuring him to play. Smh
Embiid had been crying wolf each time he was supposed to play in Denver, with the biggest one coming last year at the height of the MVP race. So he was called out for the right reasons. No one is gonna take you seriously when the previous 5 years you have refused to play in Denver by pretending to be injured.
If he was injured which obviously he was then the 76ers should have forced him to sit and not be influenced by anyone else.
Two things can be right at the same time - the Sixers medical staff should have overruled Embiid last night and forced him to sit, and the Embiid haters can suck it for burying him Saturday.
The reason he probably wasn't on the injury list Saturday was that Embiid wanted to play, but was overruled by the med staff. Embiid is a prideful guy - most people who are at the pinnacle of their profession are. He knew he would get buried by everyone if he didn't play on Saturday, which was why he wasn't on the injury report. He didn't tell people he was hurt. He was going to give it a go. But the medical staff said no. Last night, Embiid had three days of everybody - including the national media - burying the crap out of him (Richard Jefferson calling him another name for a cat). The team was in a losing streak and were shorthanded...so he tried to go.
The medical staff could have - and should have - said no last night. But Embiid had enough of being buried.
By the way...still waiting for those apologies fron RealGM'ers who destroyed Embiid on Saturday. Lines are open.
Don't know why Embiid would fight against being listed as probable even if he was insisant on playing. If he could play he plays, but being pulled minutes before the game with no warning made the criticism much louder
