Royce would be an acceptable addition, but DFS would be much better but essentially impossible.
Still want one of Walker or Moody. Those are perfect fits imo.

I like Queta, and I really like his potential moving forward. Queta is an incredible athlete at the center position. Queta's basketball skills and knowledge of the game need some more work. I still think he is a few years away. I am going to be curious to see what Brad Stevens does Neemias Queta moving forward this year and next year.
My opinion, I would keep Queta on his two way contract for the balance of the year. No playoffs for Queta this year. This off-season I would try to sign him to a cheap 3 year deal on the parent team.
I would not be opposed to acquiring another cheap vet big man with experience to go with Porzingis, Horford and Kornet for the playoff push this year. I don't feel awesome about Queta getting playoff minutes if he had to this season.
Like I said, going to be interesting to see how Brad Stevens feels about Queta moving forward.
Idk. I'm not sure why Queta would get a 3 year deal when Kornet hasn't gotten one. Kornet has been over him on the depth chart all season, has been here for like 4 years now. But Kornet has only been on 1 year deals - and they have been non-guaranteed deals too.
And Kornet is only 28, so still likely has a few more good seasons left in him.
Brad has typically only given 2-way contracts or 1 year deals to end of bench players.
Only exceptions - Pritchard multi year extension but he's been a rotation player for most of his 4 year career. Walsh multi year deal but pretty much all rookie contracts given to a player who was just drafted that aren't 2-way deals are like that.
Hauser multi year contract but he was given that contract because there was a clear and planned path for him to be in the rotation consistently. And that also was his rookie contract after being converted from a 2-way (which again, those types of contracts are almost always multi-year deals).
Hauser was only on a 2-way for half a season. Queta is in a different situation. He' now in his *third* season on a 2-way. In his 3rd NBA season, yet he hasn't played in more than 20 NBA games in a season. He's still raw, he's still a project but is gonna turn 25 this summer.
Seems like a guy whose best case scenario is getting a 1 year contract next season. Maybe it'll be in Boston, maybe it'll be somewhere else where there is a more clearly defined path to consistent playing time so he can develop more and not be such a raw/project type of big anymore. But I doubt he gets a multi-year contract for next season - unless he *really* crushes it for us over the course of the rest of this season.
Kornet will be getting paid this off-season. Queta if he got a 3 year deal it would be something like 3 years and a total of $4 million. That might be valuable to a 2nd apron team.

I just don't see this athleticism. He's big and he can jump, but he's a slow jumper, not a quick jumper like Timelord. He's also probably the least fluid Celtic I've seen since Tacko.
I don't think 2nd apron teams get any free agent exceptions which will rule out a cheap 3 year deal.
I think Celtics can sign Queta to a 3 year minimum deal. Not going to get too many players better than Queta for your 13-15th guys, especially at the center position.
Your 13th-15th guys typically are on 1 year veterans minimum contracts - unless they're a 19 year old rookie like Jordan Walsh.
You don't typically see a 25 year old guy (the age Queta will be next season) getting a 3 year deal to be at the end of the bench.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything

I don't think there's any urgency to lock up Queta but if we can somehow sign him to a 3 year NGTD deal to be our 13th guy why not.

That's really my point. See if you can develop him even more.

What are they actually even able to offer? I believe he's an RFA this summer but are they able to offer more than a minimum salary deal? How many years can they make it? Out of the loop on that part.
I'm a bit slow to jump on the band wagon as these athletic bigs come and go constantly but he seems like some real potential (at least according to Joe and we all know he's basically a genius).

1- I definitely want like Walker.
2- He isn't exactly a "Big Wing" at 6'4 but very athletic. So don't even know if Brad wants this type.
3- Still not sure why the Nets would even consider trading a young very cheap asset. Especially since Dwindle may be traded (rumors)
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

No way GS trades Moody for our late first and I wouldn't want to do 2 1sts.

I like this guy. Checks all the boxes.
In games that he played more than 10 minutes this season (24 games)
11.8ppg
2.1rpg
1.4apg, 0.6spg
40% on 4.9-3pta
42 fg%
I see nothing wrong with those at all, and see no reason he could consistantly have 12-15 minutes a game here backing up SG and SF.

He has a 6'10" wingspan.
I think that constitutes big wing

OK you convinced me
Go get him Brad. We can definitely overpay with 4 2nd rd picks as well.

It is a curious case. I get the feeling that Queta is a young player just about to pop into the limelight more, but not enough to be a reliable contributor for a team with championship now aspirations.
Agree with scenario of keeping him on 2-way for now and see if he will want to make stronger roots in Boston next season.
The talent is there... and then last night he tips a jump ball to himself. Not a terrible mistake, but in a crunch time playoff game it would have not been as funny.

Wait. I only know about the one that Jaylen tipped back to him and he dunked. What's the story on the other one?
