Grimes is anything but a beast.

His shot will come back around. That shot is too smooth to be trash. It's of quite benefit to him (and the team) that he plays good defense, because at least he's not dead weight out there.

Let's end this notion now that Grimes is a 3 and D player. He is so wildly inconsistent as a 3 point shooter that you can't label him a 3 point specialist.

How do you come to a conclusion that he's not? Career 38.1% 3 point shooting and his defense speaks for itself. He's 3 years in. Once he finds his balance, his shot will bounce back. Even with his struggles from deep, he's still getting run off the 3 point line.

He shoots the 3 a lot better though when we're up double digits.

Grimes has good form but seems to always rush his shot. Does he think he's gonna get blocked if he takes his time?

He shoots it too hard and the arc is off. That is why it is always clanking off the rim. You can see the difference between his shot and Donte's that always looks smooth.

Yes. I think it's inexperience. Everything I've read about this kid and seen on the court tells me he'll ease up eventually.

:rofl2:

so true!

I think that he can benefit from pumpfakes being that he is quick and can then go in for a midrange or sidestep. He also has improved his ability to finish at the rim.
