The only way that's a hot take is if you said your punchline, which is "Franz is (still) better than Paolo". Admit it.Knightro wrote:Hot take...
I think people are sleeping on and underrating Franz's overall improvement because his shooting efficiency is worse than last year.
I think his defense is better this year than it's ever been. His rebounding is way up.
I also think people are underestimating how impressive it is for a young player to increase their usage - which has led to quality gains in PPG and APG - while DECREASING turnovers at the same time.
TL:DR - Franz is improved across the board at pretty much everything except 3PT shooting and people don't realize it because of the 5% drop in 3PT shooting.

Just looked at our schedule, we could go on a TEAR.
Like, 28-7

50 wins is possible but still a dream.
45 wins is attainable.
42 wins (winning season) needs us to go 17-17 for last 34. Would still be a great leap.

Re: Official 2023-2024 Magic General Season Thread
if we keep dell and goga gets an offer and leaves for a better situation then i think if we use the draft pick we should go after a center....
i like this kid, reminds me of derrick lively....now if we don't pick up a big in free agency then we can draft a center like ware and just stick him in the g-league and call him up if we need him....Big that can block shots and rebound and is also a lob threat....3pt shot has potential.....might be a way to go, that is if our pick doesn't get packaged in some trade

We are tied with Miami in the standing and the division lead. I believe the NBA removed any seeding implications for division winners correct?

This trade wasn't some conspiracy - it was just a GM wanting AD bad enough where in most people's eyes he overpaid by a long shot to get him.

I looked through the list of draftees and circled him last week. love the lob threat part and his ability to already shoot. not sure what range he will be in.... but he's on my radar too.

Gary Harris upgraded to probable for tomorrow.
If (when?) he moves into the rotation ahead of Black, we riot!

Does that mean we are basically healthy right when our schedule lightens up and we have mostly home games?
