This victimhood is unnecessary. He is a supermax player winning tens of millions a year because of fans' attention. I have not seen any other fans come out demanding apology for MJ's flu shot, Kobe playing with a broken finger, or CP3's game 7 loss to Mavs for tight legs. Fans did not drag him on the floor or have access to his or medical staff's mind for playing or not on Saturday night.
Maybe what Embiid fans can do is to not chanting for him to prove best player in the world during regular season but pray he can pace it out for the playoffs.
Richard Jefferson called him a "p@ssy" on social media. The entire basketball world dragged his azz for not playing on Saturday.
You are joking - right?
The entire nba and Embiid are paid by fans and media. With Embiid calling "see you in two weeks in Denver", no announcement before from him/coach/medical staff, and ABC covering, of course people are going to judge based on info available and be upset for no show. RJ and Perks have prepared to pump him up, you know that, if Embiid wins in Denver, but their two versions of homework turned to nothing burger and you blame them mad?

Dude - this isn't that hard. I am sure he wanted to play. He knew the basketball world was pumping up the rematch. But he hurt his knee the prior Thursday in Indiana...the same knee that has bothered him for YEARS. I think he had every intention of going, and told the Sixers staff he intended to play (which is why he didn't show up on the injury report). But the medical staff didn't like the way he looked pregame. I bet there was a battle right up to the tip - before the medical folks said no.
