Is this team better off with Draymond than Brook?

Draymond can pass, set (illegal) screens, move around on offense, switch defensively, get in player’s heads, get suspended

Brook can post up, shoot deep 3’s, be a giant human, make some viral clips.

They both can bitch at the refs all game and shoot inconsistently from 3.

I’m at the point where I wouldn’t mind a deal that brought Draymond here and kicked Brook to a team like the Kings who need a legitimate center. You can live without Brook’s offense when you have Dame, Khris, Giannis and a 3 point ace on the floor.

You can't set (nearly as many) illegal screens when you don't play for the warriors.
Amos Barshad: "So you got a job, a place to live, a license? What’s left?"

Giannis: “Nothing. Just get a ring now.”

Touché

Draymond setting (illegal) screens for our three snipers and clearing the way for Giannis down the lane would be beautiful though. Mr. Plow

Beasley shooting at 15% (3/20) his 3s in the last 3 games just 1 week before the deadline is a godsend. Horst should use everything he has to upgrade that starting SG spot.

Bench seems to be a bigger issue.

Jrue, Murray, Khris, Giannis, Brook.

Beas scoring off the bench. man.

I don't think Murray was a big enough name for GMiannis.

And 11-40 over his last 9 games. I was told there wouldn't be regression, but that idea was always silly. Beasley simply isn't one of the games great shooters.

The units get staggered, and another actual good player would help a ton.

Dare we call Miami and see if they want Dame still? Can we get Jacquez? If we can I’m driving him to the airport

I hate that this is true and imagine we had kept Bud. That is a killer defensive team with only Khris to hide. We'd have the same struggles with Jrues shooting in the playoffs but Murray might just make up for it as he could take over pg duties and turn Jrue into a 3 & D.

I think Jrue and Grayson would be better than what we have right now. Nobody has had a better marketing dept than Dame the past 5 years while he’s been hiding in Portland putting up numbers on mediocre to bad teams.

I throw the Reverse Uno card

Traded Khris for Haliburton while he was in Sacramento as many posters here suggested ... trade Brook ( Portlands 2nd ) for a wing defender Jerami Grant for example, hired Stotts as Head Coach and we could have this squad now

Dame, Haliburton, Grant, Giannis, Portis
(Under Coach Stotts) now that would be a squad to watch both ends ... how many rings do they get ?

Eh I don't think so, Beasley basically is Grayson and Grayson is taking 2.6 more wide open 3s then Beas. Dame/Beas is better then Jrue/Grayson especially when it counts. Jrue/Murray with current Dame is way better though imo.

I’m going to disagree. It’s not like Jrue wasn’t great for us down the stretch of regular season games last year. Jrue also does all the little things for us. He’s just a better overall player than Dame. I’m dying on this hill.

It’s a moot point now though. I’m going to guess Dame is gone in the offseason. I’m sure Horst sees it and Doc will figure it out eventually

I think you have to give him the whole year but if someone wanted to give us something like CJ, Nance & one of their young wings I'd do it. It's hard to find a trade for Dame because most of the teams looking to win now already have a good guard.

The problem is you can't fix the entire bench at once. At least you can fix the sg spot. In the playoffs the rotation is tighten anyways.

If Doc's not going to play the kids, we have to at least move Pat for somebody who can slide their feet.

I'm not necessarily saying Doc's wrong to not play the kids, either.
