Really? I'd take that statement as it means don't consider trying to get Bridges, come at us with trades ON THE GUYS WE'LL ACTUALLY MOVE and don't waste our time or yours on a guy we don't want to move. He was the prize of the KD trade and is looking better than they expected, why would they move him instead of just work on putting more talent around him in the next couple of years?

Those more familiar with our pick situation, if we sent a 1st for DFS and Oneale what’s our situation like? I know we have 2024 that can be traded after we use the pick, so we could potentially pick for another team and send it if needed but after this season we would also unlock like the 2031 or 2032 1st pick right? (Good lord it’s crazy I’m typing out 2032 as an upcoming draft pick)

Then we’d still have picks every other year or whatever too that we would use ourselves

We’d have to do more houdini work and place the same protections on 2029 and have it convey unprotected to 2030. It’s too much. I think we are done trading picks this year.

2024(own can’t trade till after drafted)
2025 (Top 14 protected)
2026 (unprotected if it does not convey in 2025)
2027 (Top 20 protected auto coveys to 2028 if Heat have to give 2026 to OKC
2028(Unprotected if it does not convey in 2027 or pick is given to OKC in 2026)
2029(own pick can put protections to convey to 2030 like the Hornets deal)
2030 own

The only deal that makes the numbers work really is Herro and Duncan, but that then would negate a lot of the benefit in getting LeBron to begin with. He needs shooters, and that would cost us our 2 best.

I was about to say the same lol, it would suck trading both of our best shooters when that’s exactly what we need next to them. Duncan would be literally perfect. Caleb Rozier and JRich will have to do!

Yes, but he's under contract for just under 13 mil for next year. They wanted Brooks Lopez so they've been looking for a vet center to backup Sengun and he's a good guy to go up against in practice to get better.

If Brooklyn hypothetically rejected Green and a pick package then it would suggest that Bridges is indeed untouchable.

Regarding Mia, their best offer would include JJJ and Herro which would limit the amount of picks they’d have to pony up.

Dont think Mia fans would want to hear it but getting Bridges and 1-2 other good players is a deal worth considering.
