An Eastern Conference team looking to move up into a higher tier of contention, led by an outstanding young point guard and recently bolstered by the acquisition of a Toronto Raptors forward... will win this game.

Pacers 36-26 after 1. If it wasn’t for Donte DiVencenzo with 13 it would be more.

Clark Gable in the game for the Pacers.

I wish Siakam would kick it out for three more when the defense collapses on him.

It's the end of the third and this doesn't feel good.

How good was that Villanova team that had Brunson and DeVincenzo?

Did someone forget to tell Turner we had a game tonight? I expect to see his face on a milk carton when I go to the grocery.
Speaking of missing, is TJM still at home with a sick youngster? Seems like it has been a while. Hope the kid is OK.

Good. Hopefully that means his youngster is better now. Plus, we really need him.

I was nervous as we gave up the lead but when we went down six I relaxed knowing we would lose

Re: Hicks v Knicks 2/1/24 & 2/10/24
Unacceptable loss. Pacers collapsed in second half. I give the Knicks players credit for showing up the second half especially Brunson, McBride, Hartenstein, and Achiuwa. DiVencenzo was their first half hero.
Things I saw were the Knicks were more aggressive in the second half than the Pacers.
Knicks were out rebounding the Pacers.
Pacers coaching staff failed to adjust to the more aggressive Knicks approach. Can’t believe they didn’t use I Jax with Stix to try to control the boards.
Nesmith was a first half stud and he can’t be relied upon to be the best player all game. I love his jump in ability this season.
Nembhard is playing well and I applaud his effort but he’s a second year player and it showed going against Brunson. I like Nembhard and he has much potential.
Tyrese is getting better but not feels like 80% and minute restriction hurts his game, but is the best for his health long term.
Obi Toppin was ok and didn’t have the huge game he probably expected. 4-10 shooting and only 3 rebounds still was a +3.
Mathurin being out hurts the second team offense.
Not sure if McConnell would have been a good answer but I feel like his defensive energy might have helped a bit in the second half.
Hield was terrible. I feel like he’s feeling the trade deadline pressure. He played too much tonight.
Hield there’s no excuse for his defensive weakness and his on and off offensive game. I think he has confidence issues.
Hield 1-8 which was 1-7 from 3 and 2 rebounds
0 assists 2 blocks for a -10
Sheppard in contrast was 2-4 with 1-3 from 3
6 rebounds 1 assist 3 steals 2 turnovers for a +3
Sheppard is getting a lot of playing time which is good experience and appears to help defensively much better than Hield. Starting to rebound. Needs to improve his offense. He’s got a long way to go BUT he’s a rookie with much potential.
In Myles last 4 games he disappeared against the Suns with a similar stat line as tonight’s abysmal performance. Myles was out with a sore back against Grizzlies. Showed up against the Celtics with a decent game. Myles disappeared most of the night tonight again. Foul trouble is becoming an issue.
Stix is consistently outplaying Myles in an all around way. Makes me feel like he could be the future starting center of the team with Isiah Jackson and Oscar Tshiebwe as backup. Big money savings and better rebounding and some shot blocking by I Jax.
Really makes me hope that there are opportunities at the trade deadline to jettison Hield. Really would like to keep the rest of the roster and Myles would be my second choice to move if they can get a good return that doesn’t jeopardize making the playoffs and improving the team. I know controversial take on the trade front.

I guess the Pacers collapse is not as embarrassing as the healthy Celtics losing to the Lakers minus Davis and Lebron.

Toppin got some more time at small forward in this one. I really wanna see a Jackson/Smith/Toppin combo

Won the National Championships in 15-16 (with Hart), and in 17-18 (without Hart)....
