Me reading everyone overreacting to a game in early February

Notice how the green goggle gang started with ‘it’s only December’..then it was January and now early February. The months keep passing and people still refuse to see that this team has serious **** issues. Issues that we have seen since the Brad Stevens era.

If this team had a championship under their belt, I guarantee the anger and disappointment even for a regular season game would be reduced by like 80% lol. This team still has flaws that the past teams have had which makes you question them. It’s annoying because this team has had great regular season records, has had deep playoff seasons, they really need to get put it all together. You only have so many chances and this franchise has 1 title in 36 years. It’s why frustrations are starting to mount when you see them commit bad habits still even with the best record in the league.

Yeah haha.

The KG era Celtics were even more maddening after 2009 and didn’t cop half as much heat.

The team struggled with late game offence with Smart, I don’t know why people just assumed it would instantly be fixed with Holiday and Porzingis.

Maybe it will be by seasons end but they’re still working through things.

Just recently they’ve been trying to get Holiday more involved offensively. He’s had some good performances off the back of it but also a couple of absolute stinkers.

Even the 2007-08 Celtics were maddening. Remember that series against the lowly Hawks?

Yeah that’s why some of the rants about the team are absolutely incredible.

The 2008 Celtics got taken to 7 games by the Hawks and 7 games by the Cavs and very easily could have gone home against the Cavs.

Winning a championship is never easy.

Winning nearly every regular season game is near impossible and even if you do it who knows if you’ll win the title. The 2016 Warriors went 73-9 and didn’t win.

It’s a long bumpy ride every year. I don’t know if we’re going to win this season but I’m not going to rule us out when we have the best record in the league with a heap of talent.

If it’s such a foregone conclusion we can’t win the chip I’m not sure why some of the doomsayers on here continue watching. Doesn’t seem like they enjoy it

One thing if Tatum was playing with KD and Beal who are natural scorers. I love DWhite and like what Jrue brings but Tatum needs to stop deferring to them. I just hate the approach he has to start games standing in the corner. The best player needs to dominant with the ball, make plays off his aggression. Tatum is screwing himself with these slow starts.

Tatum is different than guys like KD and Booker. Those guys are natural scorers. Tatum really works hard for his basket. He scores a lot if his 3 ball is working, but if not, he puts up meh performances. He doesn’t have a quick release. Doesn’t have a fast mid range pull up like Kd and booker. Those guys can just dribble attack then stop and take a jumper. He also doesn’t use the board that well. Doens’t have a soft touch around the basket. Handles are average as well.

Tatum is literally one of the best finishers in the league. We’ve seen him be an elite finisher against defenses like the Bucks and the Heat in the playoffs. If someone can put up 27-30 ppg while shooting 35-37% from three, they are natural scorers lol.

He’s just been too unselfish this season, and it’s been fine mostly, but I would like him to force it a bit more.

If he takes it strong to the hoop, he’s really hard to stop. It’s when he decides to take it soft and euro steps to the basket that’s been frustrating to watch.

I meant KD and Beal as if Tatum was in Booker’s situation which it would acceptable if he was passive giving it to them here and there because like you explained they’re natural scorers. I just don’t agree with JT taking a backseat usually all of the first quarters to our role players. Yes I’m aware we are one of the best first quarter teams but this first quarter stuff imo isn’t helping Tatum’s game overall.

I agree. It’s mostly on Joe, pulling him out early in the 1st. Sometimes, when JT had it going early, joe yanks him out early all because he wants to follow his usual rotation schedule. So predictable for other teams to prepare for.
