NO THANKS!!

Lebron trolled us for YEARS. He's also looking for one last move that will elevate HIS OWN image in the history books before he retires.

If we get Lebron and win, it'll be all about HIM and not US.

I'll pass...

What a win! WOW!

This season has gone so crazy I'm speechless. I can't think of any season where the Knicks had so many "best-win-of-the-season" type games. The Heat game, the Wolves game, the Sixers game, the Nuggets game, today. And I can't remember any knick team with so many fan favorites....like usually you have like that ONE fan favorite but this team with Deuce, Grimes, Hart, DD, OG, Precious, Mitch, IHart is like full of them. And then you have Brunson.

After Randle went down I predicted we will go 7-2. With Brunson we have the kind of player that can get you a win on any night against anybody. Through the season, everytime someone went down and thoughts came up: "Can we win without player X?" I was like, "yeah, we have Brunson"....like he can go off for 40+ points against anybody. This knick team can go far. If we get all our players back healthy for the playoffs I believe we can beat anybody in the east, heck the NBA.

The offense sucked. Todays game was won on the boards by Hartenstein (!!!), Achiuwa and Hart while others contributed nothing but shooting the ball on bad efficiency. Hartenstein nearly had as much assists as the rest of our starters while Thibs continues to ignore the fact that Isaiah is a different player than Mitch.

I notice the capital L in your name. This was another team win but, he absolutely helped get it done. You're really in here talking this nonsense? Dude was 15-30 and dropped a 40 Burger tonight!! You must be high.

I mean what did you expect on offense with Randle, OG and Grimes out? Not only do we miss a lot of points and offense, but OG and Grimes also shoot like 39% from 3. Of course the shooting and offense was going to suffer. Taking out the Pacers with 3,5 starters out is out of this world impressive.

I will take your comment more as a testament of how good Brunson is. It feels like 40points in such circumstances is almost like expected. Like "Yeah sure, he had a good game and all, but..." ---btw Brunson is one of the most clutch players in the league---this can't be underestimated. All these games he closes out for us is so huge---but since he is doing it so regularly, like clockwork really, it is again like you take it as a given. Those rebounds and contributions were huge and helped us big time, but you need someone to put the ball in the basket, especially to close a game out. You can't win a game by "only" rebounding. All our guys were great. All of them. But Brunson is the leader.

The last three without Randle/OG/Grimes have been wild. I went from we need to trade things to, I don't care if we stand pat. Amazing season so far.

I like Obi but you could feel he was gonna drive one too many times and get stripped or lose the ball somehow

I like the Pacer roster — lots of pieces that can score and dribble and nobody that lame except their main guy

They’re not the handsomest group of gentlemen but they’re still better than Larry Bird so they have that Indiana edge

I don't know how many Knicks fans here were around back then, but this team gives me that same vibe that I had watching the Knicks from 1992-95 when Pat Riley was coaching them. Those teams during the regular season and playoffs were exciting to watch.

Thibs now has 3 different 9 game winning streaks in his tenure coaching the Knicks and there is only one coach in Knick history that has done that, too, Red Holzman with 5 of them.
If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right
...you are a fan of your opinion not the team.

I loved those teams and that era. Right up to 99 too but, you're bringing up some painful memories!   Losing in game 7 in the 94 finals and the following year was the finger roll in game 7 vs THE PACERS!!!!

I VIVIDLY remember the OJ game. They had the Knicks in a small PIP frame during the FINALS while OJ was driving around in his Bronco. Was watching at the local bar full of Knicks fan friends losing our minds!!

I keep looking at the standings tonight. It just doesn't seem real. A month ago we were in the final spot of a five way tie for the 4 seed. 15-2 run later and we are .5 GB of the 2seed! Jumping over 5 teams to get here!!! We are for real!

I remember that car chase like it was yesterday as well. The Knicks would have beaten Houston in 'the finals had Riley simply benched Starks the minute he began to chuck away. Hubert Davis had a very good FG and 3PT percentage that season. I loved how Starks helped them throughout that series, but leaving him in for more than 40 minutes while he couldn't hit the back side of a barn was the wrong move.

1995 was probably more painful for me because of the choke job against Indiana in game 1. How do you let Reggie shoot those 3's without fouling him in one of those sequences? I think that set the tone for the entire series. What I hated the most was how Reggie began to trash talk after game 1, saying that the Pacers were going to sweep the Knicks, even though his team got lucky.

I wouldn’t trade for Lebron cuz he plays in the same position as Randle now… he needs shooters around

If he is willing to play like Manu, a 6th man with 35 min per game than yes :)

Hart / Achiuwa
Randle / Hart
OG / Lebron
Grimes / Donte
Brunson / Deuce

Starks went 3-18 or some shyt like that! Ugh. I can't! Those were painful times! Thankfully the Yankees woke up from a decade long slumber then and became a dynasty to help ease the pain!

When it comes to the current state of the Knicks and Yankees it does feel like the reverse of what took place in the 90's with these two franchises. The Yankees are reverting back to what they were before they became relevant in 93-95, while the Knicks are reverting back to the contender that they were during those same years.

Not really. The Yankees were bottom of the division awful during the 80s. They haven't had a losing season since they climbed out of the hole early 90s.

The Knicks struggled through the 80s too and came up a few years before the Yankees in 89.

Both teams were good until 2000 then the Yankees kept going and the Knicks turned into hell.

The Yankees last year might not have had the winning precentage of the Knicks post 2000, but being an 82-80 team is way below their standards, and if Cashman continues running them into the ground they might as well be as depressing as those Knicks teams.

The current Knicks on the other hand, despite a small sample size, are the best run NY sports team. If they manage to win a title or two, they'll have the NY spot light to themselves similar to the Yankees of the 2000's.
