Re: pg: we them ones
Anybody notice in this winning streak I haven't seen JB/Julius be so animated ever. JB wasn't screaming after And1s as much last season. Julius with the flexing on the court, making great passes and walks away and have the confidence in your teammate hitting the shot that you don't even look at the basket lol.
I believe they both loved RJ and IQ but I think they knew once they were gone they would be able to ball out more

honestly, of all the current beat guys, i like him most, but over the years it has been clear that he has no sources and just bases his "reporting" on knick twitter/realgm knicks. i don't look to begley for news, i look to him for tweets and the putback
begley: from what i'm hearing inside the front office per my totally legitimate source, the knicks are considering doing a few of the things i've seen floating on realgm. furthermore, i don't know for sure, i'm just saying what i've "heard"
anyway sorry for the triple post, i watched the game at work so i couldn't be in the thread and i think i deserve to rattle a few thoughts off. congrats buzz on matching my win streak. i am genuinely hoping you surpass it, partially because the knicks winning is good for my mental health, and partially because i want you to be stuck with the work. i've heard some people feel like you should start putting in some more effort, making some photoshops...

Obv not the time to **** on any players, but if the roster gets somehow too expensive and the cap becomes a problem, I don't see any way they don't choose iHart over Mitch. He is just so much better. And I am a Mitch fan since day 1.
We need Mitch and I said before I hope Mitch can come back reading the game and not setting Slip screens and going for lobs every time. Let’s see if he buys in like everybody else.

I just ordered. I figured if enough Knick fans bought his products, he'd get more endorsements. And then more endorsements means he's more marketable, which will make him more of a star. And that should hopefully give him more whistles and it will benefit the Knicks and the fans. It is a bit expensive though.

Someone on reddit said last night the 125 point averaging Pacers went into MSG and got beaten with metal baseball bats for 2 hours, and that's a fairly apt description of this game. That was a dogfight. Thibs should be getting COTY consideration for the way this team, down multiple critical pieces, continues to fight and compete at a high level.
The refs were atrocious. Brunson was hit multiple times throughout the game, no calls. Can't wait to see the 2 min report for a laugh

Knicks are significantly better defensively without Randle on the court. This is even without OG out there but the swarming defense from this group is just remarkable.

Obi can't rebound and has no post moves. He's a straight line/jump athlete. Precious has great lateral movement.
moreso thinking about heart, toughness and physicality but yeah agree that too

Hali is petty af with the knicks i dont exactly know why, but i remember he talked about it on paul georges podcast.
the rivalry with the pacers could be a real thing the comming years. Im not sure yet if i like it or not. the pacers have a scary squad and it seems like we most of the time draw the short hand of the stick whenever we face them. not today tho!!
im bout dat action boss

Obi had too many fans in his ears about how good he is. he never was and never will be more than an energy guy off the bench. thats why he had an ego and clashed with thibs and other players. he had to go

Hali doesn’t like the Knicks because we passed on him in the draft for some inexplicable reason when we clearly needed a PG and the idiotic thing Wally said about him (ie he’s a fake all star)…. Whatever

Damn. You don’t want Precious to get paid?
Selfishly no but he seems like a great guy so I’d take solace in that. Knicks have hard choice on their center rotation.

Thank god we passed on him.
We have Brunson instead.

But yea. Him getting noticed might make this a short stay. He’s looking like a really nice backup 4/5 for this team. His role and development in short order has been surprising. Because I totally get why people saw him as a throw in. He has not looked very good so far.

Man, OG and Precious were perfect for what we needed and have exceeded expectations. And the Raptors got two young guys with good heads on their shoulders who should contribute to their turnaround someday. Win win… but we won the most

Re: pg: we them ones
Damn - we got OG and also Precious who is an upgrade over Obi. Trade looking more and more like a steal.
When healthy this is a damn good lineup:
Brunson/McBride
DDV/Grimes
OG/Hart
Randle/Precious
iHart/Mitch
I do think we can use a bench scorer at G or SF, but not one that commands big minutes. I wouldn't want to bench McBride or any of these guys. I would wait until buyouts.
