Ill offer this idea for:
-Pistons leverage that Morris is healthy and they already have Cunningham/Hayes/Sasser to play majority of PG minutes
-Lakers get a healthier PG on an expiring deal
To Detroit
-Gabe Vinceent (3 years, $33 million)
-2025 Los Angeles Clippers 2nd round pick
To Los Angeles
-Monte Morris (1 year, $9.8 million)
Why?
-Pistons can hold Vincent over for next season if he continues to be out for '24-25 as they can chose not to quality Hayes and slot Vincent into a backup PG spot.
-The Lakers get the healthier PG in Morris as they look for immediate help in backcourt leading into February and beyond this season

Re: Morris for Vincent/2nd
Pistons aren't taking salary next year, they are on a mission to make other teams overpay their FAs and they mean business this time.
Defense wins draft lotteries!

Re: Morris for Vincent/2nd
This just isn't even close value or directionally for Detroit. They give up a better player to take on a long-term contract for a mediocre player who is injured? For one 2nd round pick? Nah, they don't consider this one at all I'm afraid.
Now if LA can get Murray, Detroit is a great team to take Russell and send Morris/something to the Hawks. But LA has to spend more than this to turn Vincent into Morris. But if they are going to spend more then they should aim higher.

I have this as awful for Detroit, who should get more in terms of 2nds and less in terms of no crappy contract back.

Yeah, I think this is even if Morris is out for the year.

The Wolves would happily offer expiring salary and a couple of 2nds for Morris.

This is grossly in favor of the Lakers. Your reason for Detroit is that they really don’t need Vincent. And the reward is a mediocre second round pick. No thanks
Would’ve made more sense to have this be the Wizards and Lakers;
LA gets Wright, Wizards get Vincent and 2-3 seconds. Washington already took on Bagleys contract to get draft picks. Lakers get a useful player while unloading Vincent’s contract.
