I'm more concerned if he is still beating his girlfriend...

Not aware of his issues, but if not him, who is another similar player that shouldn't break the bank to get?

Would love to get Daniel Gafford

I honestly think he would score 25 on 80-85% shooting and it would be the greatest offensive season of all time as opposed to 31 on 60% shooting.

No more fiddling with the ball up top before putting his head down into a wall, no more jumpers from the elbow, no more fadeaways. And it's not like he'd never initiate things with the ball, just get away from everyone watching Giannis try to do something offense for 15 seconds. Giannis, Khris, Bobby, Dame all have these moments where the ball just sticks with them and it's gross.

Giannis attacks from the top a lot because it's one of the most efficient and effective offensive plays of all time. It's become even more effective this year with new screening being incorporated.

That offense has crashed every playoffs though. Don't get me wrong, its always going to be part of the O, especially in semi transition situations. He should still be aggressive in all those times when the D isn't set. Get into a legit half court late game set with playoff bogged down D, you don't want 4 guys standing doing nothing starring at him going 1v3.

That said, I liked the post a couple days ago talking about Dame screening for Giannis. That could be great too and kind of incorporate a best of both worlds.

People realize it's harder for everyone to score in the playoffs, right? Bud's no movement offense is different then what we're running this year. Giannis absolutely dominated the NBA Finals, are those games not considered playoffs?

Yea, that was the year he was forced to do less on ball attacking due to the injury. He was closer to the hoop finishing. They won the title that way. That's why it was surprising they went right away from it after it worked.

Regardless of that nitpick. And yes Giannis will still get his stats (he's that good), like vs the Bos loss year, but the team O was awful and we want to improve that. Yea we know O gets harder in the playoffs, and we know our O is what has cost every playoffs. So why are we insisting to do the same thing and not try to tweak/improve on the weakness. Especially when we added the perfect fit to said problem

Jones is a nice regular season player, but he's been a playoff flop, and doesn't solve our PoA defender. Gafford is poor fit here, as he can't shoot.

Can you imagine all the idiot casuals flipping their lid if/when Bobby gets traded? Fiserv will be half full going forward.

Jones being an expiring makes it a hard pass for me. Whoever you get needs to be a guy that can be flipped in the offseason. DFS, Caruso, Thybulle, etc.

Love the Caruso idea but have read that its far fetched that we can get a piece of that calibur with the assests we have. Also, is this talk about Thybulle not liking / wanting to play for Doc true?

Also, really disappointing hearing the Marcus Smart news. That would be a huge get especially after the Clowns stole Jrue...

Finally is DFS worth 2 firsts? Isn't that what they are asking for him? I think as others have said this is definitely going to have to be a 3 team trade.

Think Gafford would be really fun and effective on this team. Doesn't shoot but absolutely creates space or he punishes you with his lob catching ability. 1.44 PPP on pick and rolls, 1.65 PPP in transition. He'd most assuredly find spots to be effective next to Giannis and Dame. Despite blocks not quite the defender you'd love tough.

Love it but why for the Nets?

Easy yes for the Nets. O'Neale has been terrible and is a free agent, as is Claxton. Bobby improves them offensively, just like how the Bucks are significantly better when he plays. Marjon will likely be good.

I doubt Marjon gets dealt. Bucks have been way too focused on his longterm development to just toss him aside.

Caruso's not going to get traded, is he? Bulls have been playing well for a while and are very much in the playoff mix ostensibly with help coming from a LaVine trade.

He's not getting dealt for picks, but I think they'd deal him for the right forward.

Duop Reeth is the center I'd want to add if Bobby gets dealt for a PoA defender. Reeth is only on a 2 way, but is already 27, so I think Portland would give him up for a 2nd. He can shoot, rim roll, and block shots.

Delon Wright and Kispert for Pat, Payne and our 2nd works. I’d try to keep the Portland 2nd in this deal but not sure how Washington would really view this from their perspective?
