Re: Fake Trade Thread #5
KDB is Keita Bates-Diop
So, we'll have the 2nd Diop in team history.

Re: Fake Trade Thread #5
10 win season would break our own win% record right?
Your Charlotte Hornets! We’ll eventually get something right;right?

Re: Fake Trade Thread #5
What's irritating is surly we could get better than a couple bench bums and 2nd's for him... right? I mean, every contender should be interested in renting him for the title run. A solid young player. A protected 1st....?
And all this is after putting up with him through his issues. "So, you're bringing this guy back after he recording himself drinking a drug cocktail, assaulted his wife, threw a pool ball through her window and eventually you'll trade him for Nasir Little and some 2nd's."
And that's without tossing in Richards.
Maybe this is the downside of letting a dead-man-walking stay the teams GM. He has a to-do list, but isn't concerned with the teams future.
When many of us (including me) wanted him to be traded if we aren't going to re-sign him.... that sort of assumed we'd actually get something decent for him.

Re: Fake Trade Thread #5
I don't see why Phoenix would be a serious option for Miles, they don't have cap space so there's no way he's signing there this summer. Not sure why he would sign up to be a rental, he should just keep putting up stats with us and sign wherever he wants to go that has cap space.
It seems that the only way we would be interested in this return is if we view Miles as a culture problem and we're just doing a hard reset. That seems extremely unlikely given that he's been here so long and we have bent over backwards to keep him.

I still want to trade Gordon for a top 59 protected 2nd rounder though.

I find it hard to believe that they'd stick with him through all the bad press just to trade him for some seconds and dookie water
Not even the Charlotte FO is that dumb

Let's also throw Nic Richards in for unknown reasons.
Feels like PHX fans were like let's find a deal that matches our needs and figure out whatever junk we have to send in return and the other team will probably bite.

The only thing I can think of is if the owners said they would not resign miles and to get whatever they can get for him

Sadly, that's 99% of our trade history, on the low end, since 2004. I'll see ridiculous things like "we'll give you Bridges for a top-50 protected future 2nd, and Seth Lundy" on Twitter, I'll say it's BS, and then Mitch will bite on that.
