This is what keeps Herro super safe in conversations from a team standpoint, I guess when the FO looks at his production they may not really do like advanced stats, other than Spo and assistant coaches, Pat and the higher ups problebly glance at it but ultimately go with what ends up on the box score.

Everything they are doing and players shot selection indicates otherwise. It drastically changed since Jimmy has returned, the Bam/Tyler middies have reduced significantly.

It's far more likely that they have a very well paid analytics department that is analyzing stats/film data and is in conversation with coaches/players all the time.

Dru is the worst  Riles has a crib out there

Looks like he is meeting the head of another family. Getting wanded lest he is armed and tries to take out his rival!

I don't think Bam at PF on offense would work as well as people think he would be going against people that can match his quickness and contest his mid rangers you literally take away most if not all his advantages if he's being defended by athletic bigger SF or PFs on top of that he has no 3 point shot and not much post game either and struggles to dribble drive against lumbering C's. Someone like KAT (same with Naz Ried) who is a C can play PF on offense cause he's got elite offensive skills (post game/3pt/put the ball on the deck and get to the rim) Bam's a way different player.

This is where maybe a Myles Turner or a Mo Bamba would have helped. They could be on the perimeter on offense and the interior on defense, while Bam excels at guarding the perimeter and can play closer to the basket on offense. Since we don’t seem to want knuckleheads, Bamba went for cheap to the 76ers. Could have been a low cost gamble instead of other jags we have currently

Last time Bam played PF he averaged 16-10-5-1-1.5 with a 60TS% on only 11 shots a game lol.

This guy should’ve been our backup after his buyout but “we have enough” got in the way.

Cam Whitmore averaging 20-6 on 41% from 3 with 7 attempts a game with a 63TS%, may have been running victory laps way too soon :o

Love Jaime though.

Yeah, his innate skill and athletics is starting to catch up with the experience needed in the NBA. Its why teams always draft for future peak ability and age. 4 Year college players tend to have lower ceilings, not saying Jaime is a bad, we picked a great player, but Cam may turn into an actual monster scorer future all nba player where Jaime may never get there outside of just a really good all around player jack of all trades, master of none.

The problem with playing bam at pf is that bam’s game required to be close tto or in the paint to score which would’ve clog up the paint if bam were to play pf. I don’t think bam playing center is the issue. It’s the 4. Kevin Love can play the 4 but not for too long.

So we need a K Love power forward that is bigger, can shoot the 3, is more physical, and can play defense against an NBA center. You then let Bam play in the middle on offense, and outside on defense. Bam can guard anybody.
I know it is a pipe dream, and I think he plays in Denver. Maybe Myles Turner.
We have Jovic, but I don't think he's a center either, and he lacks defense skills.

Or Bam, like Bosh, can develop a 3-point shot...

It's a shame DeMarcus Cousins was a nut case cause even now with his skills he could have helped the Heat (or any team) and been good at C next to Bam at PF.

He was always going to LA. He wanted to be there. It was never a matter of is needing to go after him, he didn't want us.

Let's not revise history, either. We, this board, didn't want him because he looked cooked. He was called Westbrick for a good reason.

I do wonder with all the little injuries Kyrie has had (questionable fit) if the Mavs decide to pull the pin early at the deadline and Miami sends a Herro/JJJ/Jovic/Martin picks for him and Propser (rookie they drafted this season)....just a thought.
