Bill Self with a masterful gameplan vs. Houston so far. The blueprint on how to beat the Houston D is being revealed. Kelvin Sampson calling timeouts but it won't matter his team is being exposed.

Can we draft Juju Watkins? Would literally be the best scorer on our team rn

Id think you'd need to package the OKC, Pacers and Detroit pick to move into the lottery.
The price to move up from ~18 to ~12 isn’t going to be 28+31
Can you give me an example of this value happening? From memory, I can't think of a 18-20 pick + a 27-30 pick jumping into the late lottery (10-12).
The late lottery generally has top 7 talent that falls. You typically don't get those picks all that easily. Maybe you throw out future 1sts as the add, but not a guaranteed late 1st. The future 1st has that mystery box allure.

Oh man we gotta get this guy. 6’8 shooter playing for a program like Kansas and rebounds a little bit too, this is the type of player we need around Scottie!

Re: 2024 NBA DRAFT THREAD
Kyshawn George is a guy I think we should target. His dad was a former Canadian NT player but he has grown up Swiss.
Classic guard who had the late growth spurt (5'11 three years ago) and is now a 6'8 wing with ideal 43/40/80 splits at Miami. This is a pretty senior team with other prospects and he is getting stronger each game playing point.
He flies under the radar because he isn't a prep school guy who has already played 4 years in France professionally. Tons of smarts and skill for a young player. I see him as at least as a secondary ballhandler and shooter. Could this guy end up lotto?

Thought that was what we got Gradey from Kansas for?

Sheppard's full court passing is Kevin Love-esque in terms of willingness to make those passes and accuracy.

Re: 2024 NBA DRAFT THREAD
7-15 range seems pretty solid
Furphy, Filipowski, Sheppard, Dillingham, Knecht, Castle, Saluan, Ja'Kobe, Buzelis
A few of these should turn into good NBA players

The first 10 times I saw it this year, my automatic reaction was to think it was a typo.

I usually like looking at all possessions (rather than just highlights) and KyShawn seems to have a lot of boneheaded plays:
He looks slow footed on offense and a bit clumsy overall. Seems like it's easy to block/alter his shot off the dribble. He does some positive things like catch and shoot and has good defensive moments (along with some bad), but I wouldn't draft him.

Agreed, doesn't look like a guy who will stick in the league. Already 20 y/o as well. Could carve out a career overseas somewhere.

Re: 2024 NBA DRAFT THREAD
Dillingham has a lot of IQ in his game. The shot creation/shooting is obviously good and he can pass but it'll be interesting to see if how he faces/handles the similar problem as IQ has of trying to constantly get that shot off inside against much bigger/more athletic competition when he's small and doesn't have the super elite athleticism at the rim as other smaller guards.
And that's not a knock on IQ, he was SEC player of the year.
