Knick needs:

Starting PF
Starting SF
Backup PG
Backup wing
Starting C

Only 4 or 5 trades to make, Knicks should be right in the playoff hunt

Man the starters statistically have blown out opposing teams with Hart on the court.

He just can't be expected to be a floor spacer for you, because that's not his skill set.

But most of the J. Hart lineups are in the positive in net rating. He's good in his normal role.

J. Randle - O. Anunoby - I. Hartenstein - J. Hart - J. Brunson have a net rating of +60.2 in 41 minutes played

I honestly don't know how other than his defense and rebounding..and hustle.

Still the extension made zero sense only to pick up Donte who is better in every sense

They're different players with different roles.

We're not as good without Hart. Even offensively, his transition offense is pretty big for us. His lack of a consistent jumpshot is a weakness but he moves well without the ball and he's a good passer too. He brings a lot of qualities that we claim to value as a fanbase.

I think that was more because of all the bricks he threw up tonight and the fact Steph cooked him for 60 pts.

He took over in the clutch and won them the game lol

I still watch Trey Burke and Shandon Anderson highlights

I still watch Ricky Ledos overseas highlights

Still don’t see the Knicks making a trade for Murray. I think they want Brogdon/Clarkson/Bruce brown/Alec Burks

sucks that it came against Lebron, but at some time Brunson had to ran out of gas and we take a L..
now lets hope that we a)get more healthy soon and b)trade for that bench scorer.

Team was going to lose at some point with all our guys out and LeBron/AD being load managed. Not going to overreact to this sh*t. They put up a fight.

Jalen and Donte did their part. Needed at least 1-2 others to step up offensively, but the firepower wasn’t there. AD is a hall of famer and an amazing defender who locked down the paint too.

At this point rest OG until the All Star Break if he’s not 100% yet. Trade for Brogdon or whoever to hold the bench down in the meantime.

Can’t criticize too much but when you can’t score for a 7 minute stretch, it is okay to try different things. Fournier, as bad as he has been, can make an open three.

We don't win if Thibs plays the bench

But we didn't win anyways, and playing a 7 man rotation at this point in the season is just reckless.

Still dont get the people who want Dejounte.

Donte has played great as a starter for us, is a clear superior fit, and stepped his game up on offense these last 4 games with Julius and OG out (27 ppg on solid efficiency). The Knicks just won more games in a month than they have in 30 years with him starting. He’s not the problem and shouldn’t be benched for a questionable choice like Dejounte (who shot 9-24 for only 19 pts last night btw even if he ended the game well).

Brogdon, Caruso, BBrown, Burks, etc make more sense. I see the potential upside of getting Dejounte (namely as a trade asset) but he’s too much of a risk on and off the court for me. I’ll trust whatever Leon does though.

Also, Josh Hart as a starter this year:

10/10/4 on 37/24/81 splits, .453 TS

And his extension hasn't even kicked in yet. Dude is gonna be Fournier'd by the end of next season.

I would trade 2 seconds and salary for Burks and then trying to flip Grimes for a first.

why would you trade grimes for a 1st round pick? he's started to look a lot better lately and his defense is very good still

I would only trade him if we also trade for a scoring G/F off the bench. where do you think he would get minutes if we add another vet?

They were triple teaming him the entire game and he still dropped 36! But that was great strategy having Prince guard him; the height obviously bothered him. That will be the template going forward.

Most teams guard Brunson with a SF or taller.
