Right after Taj goes back to 12 & 7 like before he got here.

Come to think of it Evan Fournier shot 46.3% right before he came here. Let's just go back to that, eh?

I'm sure if Taj was 28 again, he'd average 12/7, are you implying that Hart has aged 10 years in the last 2 and that is the reason why his three point attempts has fallen off a cliff?

And rather than ask Hart to go back to attempting threes at a rate he used to, we should trade for another player to do the job?

Why trade, we have EVAN. (according to your logic). 8-)

Evan's 46% season was an outlier, just as Hart's career low 3 point attempts last year with us is an outlier. Why are you using outliers or seasons when guys are 10 years younger as your basis, when I showed you that Hart was fine with actually attempting a decent volume of threes before he got here and his attempts with us are now the outlier.

My logic is sound, you're the one hyper focused on statistical outliers to try and defend Hart taking less threes with us than he did over the course of several seasons. Just to put in perspective how nonsensical the point you're trying to make, 4.2 threes per game in 27.3 MPG before the Knicks, 2.45 threes in 30 MPG with us. But yes, compare seasons when Taj was 28 and 32 to this, as though the reason for Josh's fall off from three attempts is due to age, even better compare it to single games like you did before

I agree that he has value, but not anywhere close to where it was a year ago.

he's still our best young asset. a lot of teams still want him just because of his body of work he had last year. im not going to sell low on him and i don't think the front office wants to either thankfully.

I am fine with this, but then you don't trade for a bench scorer to bury Grimes even further. It just doesn't make sense.

The actual toughened up hard core Knicks fans with any patience sometimes feel like a minority in here after any loss. Zero gratitude for a nine game streak and it's jihadism the second we lose with a plethora of trades and accusatory pointed fingers looking to burn the house down.

All of these instant whiners would NEVER have signed Brunson, Donte and Hartenstein. They don't have the vision to build a team.

These are not the people you want next to you in the foxhole when the barbarians are coming over the hill.

No atheists in a foxhole. No believers in a losing game thread.

You don't even need to bring up his stint in Portland to argue he's taking way less 3s now

In both New Orleans and LA, he averaged 5.4 3PA per36, on 36% for LA and 33% for Nola, over a 283 game sample size

He took 2.5 per36 for us last year, and is taking 3.5 per36 for us this year (which is 200th in the league) on 30%. And it's not like he isn't getting good looks, he's flat out refusing to shoot.

When AD come to play he is a top-10 player easily maybe top 5. It's his team LeBron is just on it.

We played sloppy. We played loose. We didn't have any knick with the knack. Can't have only guys 6'4'' and below willing/able to score.

Overall, if we played just a bit smarter and hit a key shot here or there we would have stolen another win. Prec played well on LeBron. Despite a few just butter-fingers moments from iHart he actually played fairly well.

The biggest difference maker (you have to account for AD, LeBron) was Prince. He made us pay every time he was left open and he even put the ball on the floor a few times. If he would have had a 'meh' game we would have won easy.

You noticed the way AD altered so many shots and Knicks players shied away from attacking the rim because of his presence in the paint? That's the same way other teams react to Mitch that iHart, for all he has shown in toughness and energy, doesn't provide the same deterrent.

Even if iHart is resigned as the starter going forward there's an element of paint dominance that Mitch has which few others in the league bring and would be a luxury to have coming off the bench, so enough of the trading him as a throw in nonsense, you people have such short memories.

If Mitch is 100% he will be the starter if not right away Thibs may just let him get a few games under his belt before reinserting him into the starting lineup...

Our defense with

Mitch/Isiah
OG
Grimes
Duece/Donte

Brunson

add in Precious that's CRAZY stacked...
