There's a good chance that Scottie sees himself as a defensive anchor and facilitator that can score. As opposed to a scorer and whatever else.

He is not close to Garnett at anything but passing.

Scottie is a Iggy/Marion hybrid.

Hey i didn't say that's what he is, just maybe how he views himself. Garnett viewed himself similarly.

Just had a much higher motor defensively. But that is the side of the ball barnes is best and most active at.

Similar shortcomings as a #1 option offensively though.

Garnett is the top 1% of the player type reeko described.

Dennis **** Schroder just cost OKC a chance to cover by playing the first ounce of defense he played all game.

I had OKC - 8.5 and + 6.5, Dennis and the bs replay cost me the sweep

Josh Giddey has looked phenomenal tonight

I proposed a trade for Giddey, Dort and Houston's pick for Siakam and was ridiculed.

I'd take that deal over the Indiana deal any day.

Wow, Barnes almost looks like he's sabotaging this game... that was a terrible effort there.

Hardest player to understand I've ever seen. Not sure if he lost confidence or just doing some passive aggressive stuff because he's not the focal point.

He seems to throw birch fits whenever anyone else gets the offensive load

If he's jealous of his own teammates...then he's not about winning.

Gradey had a good first half.. I missed the 3rd and 4th but caught the OTs… did he not play at all in Q 3/4?

Scottie played 48 minutes tonight, 6 more than anyone else on the team.

Meanwhile Dennis is 5/15 from the field and no one is complaining about him nor psychoanalyzing him when he stunk in his minutes off the bench.

dennis was awful; but lets not try to deflect here...scottie was bad too.

He had one bad play after being mostly frozen out of the offense in 1OT. It's definitely a learning moment but the hyperbole over that one play has been nonstop nonsense i.e. the Simmons comparisons, assuming the 22 year old can't develop a sense of aggression despite his frequent stepping up in the 4th, etc.

Barnes has made more 3s in this one game than Ben has attempted in the past 3 seasons. He had a good game overall marred by a bad decision late in the game and a mediocre performance in the rest of OT but that one mistake shouldn't write off what he was doing pre-OT.

its not that. this happens a lot when rj, quickley and schroder playing. they don't need the offense run for them...what does barnes do then if his passing ability is not needed. he cant really create for himself from the 3 point line in a half court setting. moreover, hes in the corner thus completely negating him other being a spot up shooter.
