Horst really should have signed a big to one of our open 2 way spots. Giving even a few minutes to Robin is laughable.

We’ve gone from Dejonte to Grant Williams. Sure Grant is a good smart defender but I am curious what is up with his slight shooting decline the last two years despite playing alongside the gravity of Luka this year. But regardless if we have the assets to sniff Murray then lets shoot for two way players before we throw too much cap at role players. We desperately need an upgrade at guard and we have nothing behind Middleton or Brook.
Shoot, Move, and Communicate...

No, there really isn't. You saw how useless a guy like Kris Dunn was on offense tonight despite the fake "40% 3PT shooter" label. Caruso, Wright, Grant Williams, Matisse Thybulle. They're all dudes that you just hope will make enough open shots to not be a complete offensive liability.

Lol, the nights they miss they're fake, sure, just like Dame was useless tonight too.

The difference between Dunn and Dame tonight was Dunn defended.

Other nights, they both hit 3s.

Yeah, Kris Dunn is basically Dame when he statistically hits that one 3-pointer every 2-games. Sure.

I agree with you for the most part but I think Williams is being slighted some. He is a good defender and shoots it at a decent volume for a role player. He is probably closer to P.J. Tucker than most will admit. Tucker wasn't even in the league at this point in his career and didn't shoot it at as well. Offensively, he is closer to prime Jae as a spot up shooter Giving him up for Portis would be dumb but he is a useful piece. He is young enough that I'd give up Marjon and Pat for him but hope Crowder and Pat would suffice. If they want Portis they would need to include Jones in the deal and I doubt they'd do that.

Bones for a late-night PP25 special:

MKE: Brogdon, Reath
HOU: Portis, Connaughton
PDX: Landale, Green, future protected 1st via Houston

Houston got Adams for next season, but they still need a backup center right now.

Frequently Checking in for a Brook trade.
I hope he is out for "personal reasons" cause a trade is already in place.

I just don't think Grant Williams is that great or the type of defender we're looking for while chucking a bad %, if we're talking about what guys did in previous playoffs then I guess we're good with Pat Connaughton now. Pat is still in Milwaukee meanwhile Boston dumped Grant & looks even better.

I'm not enthusiastic about the idea of multiple 1 way players trying to compensate for the other's shortcomings, leads to not so good offense or defense.

Bolden and Wiggington were cut weeks ago, and no replacements have been signed.

No we dumped his 3 way before it became guaranteed. It’s just weird that we let Queta, Garuba, Robinson-Earl, and even Jontay Porter and Lofton Jr all slip thru the cracks in an area of obvious need

Why not grab KJ Martin instead of Grant Williams?

If we dealt Portis for Grant Williams and draft compensation, first thing I'd do is call Ainge. He loves his former draft picks. Offer him for impending FA Olynyk.

I don't think Grant Williams is the answer to our problems, I think I prefer Portis (and I can't wait for Portis to be traded)

Is he just in Nurses dog house or something? Even as depleted as Philly has been recently he’s just not getting much run. Or is he hurt? We definitely could use a physical athlete like him.

Trade deadline is all about finding those margin players that are going to outperform their contract. Bruce Brown outplayed his $6.5mil contract for Denver but now is a negative asset at $22 mil. Grant Williams is a negative asset at $12.5mil, he will never eclipse its value. Bobby for what he is is on a value contract. You don’t give away size for undersized role players

Sixers are shopping him for a second round pick because they don’t have playing time for him and aren’t going to resign him
