No way do I trade Hauser and Walsh Plus picks for Caruso.. hell No.. And I want Caruso..

I struggle with that as well…but I think I probably overvalue both Walsh and Hauser.

I think it’s probably fair value wise but damn it would be hard. Brad allegedly has Balls though and Caruso can fill the role of Hauser, PP and assuming we can sign him long term gives us a few more years of what Walsh might bring someday…

Maybe. But I'd rather trade PP in place of Hauser.

We need 8,6 million in salary going out so PP and at least two others depending on who. Oshae Hauser and Kornet are the only guys that really would be “play now” types. Hauser has a team option so may have some value. Does including Walsh excite Chicago at all. Team friendly contract, top recruit, high potential under 20 guy. First rounder probably if in this draft. I’d ad a couple picks.

FWIW, I don't think Walsh would really excite Chicago much. The Bulls had a chance to draft Walsh but instead chose to draft Julian Phillips, 3 spots before we drafted Walsh.

Phillips was a similar prospect to Walsh. Both skinny wings, similar size with decent athleticism, were both highly rated recruits coming out of HS but had underwhelming freshman season in college..shot poorly from 3 but played good defense.

Ironically, they were prep school teammates..
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

PP has to go to make the money work. Hauser doesn’t, but he adds some value.

I think PP/Walsh/filler/picks would do it. If they’re trading DD too, they are blowing it up and picks will mean more to them than players. Anyone who trades for Caruso will likely be a title contender, so nobody has a big leg up with value.

I could be wrong, but My guess is Brad likes/values Hauser and PP too much to consider both in a trade.

To be clear I am talking about my friend Brant Stevens. He owns a landscaping business and is a hockey fan.

Delon Wright would be pretty dope if we got him.

Drummond I'm torn on...never been a huge fan, but this roster undeniably needs rebounding

I'm leaning yes on Drummond as we have been playing drop defense and he's a better situational center in the playoffs than Kornet.

Other teams are hoping to land Drummond, but he has roots in the Northeast that hopefully shold be an advantage to Celts.

Rumors about Keldon Johnson to the Knicks.. would be a good move for them, add offensive pop without being disruptive.

I'm thinking Derozan for Chris Paul could happen

My issue with Drummond is his playoff history. In 20-21 he started the first 4 games of the Lakers playoff series. Then with their season on the line in game 6 they benched him. Then the next year with BRK, we swept them. He started all 4 games, but in the last one they gave up on playing him and he played less than 4 minutes. I get that we want more rebounding, but history has shown time and time again that plodding big men get played off the floor in the playoffs. So if you acquire a guy like Drummond, you probably aren't addressing anything for the playoffs because he'll be rendered unplayable.

People want more big man depth but I don't think there's a realistically attainable center out there who would crack our playoff rotation. We will end up with Horford and Porzingis filling all the minutes there. So the real "front court depth" we should be searching for is a PF type. Someone who can spell Tatum for 10-15 minutes there (more if the guy is worth it). That's the type of player that actually has a role here in a playoff rotation, IMO.

Hauser and Walsh are absolute nobodies, and Drummond is a washed-up scrub.

Hell no to multiple picks for Caruso.

That is all for today.

Best Bull move is three way trade Caruso and get Dorian Finney-Smith in return. Continue skulking into play-ins while getting a few more years of contractual control on a 3+D guy vet.

I'd primarily focus on wings and forwards. IMO, come playoff time, we'll end up lining up the rotations so that White/Holiday stagger their rest to fill all of the PG minutes and Horford/Porzingis are staggered to fill all of the C minutes. Most bench PGs are either too small and thus defensive liabilities or they can't shoot and F up the offensive spacing. Most Cs don't have the foot speed to play in the playoffs. It'd be nice if we find someone, but most likely we don't have the means to acquire guys at these positions that actually could help us in the playoffs.

It's the SG/SF/PF positions where we need some depth. Hauser is one option there, we could use another. If you're talking top of the roster, key rotation member types... then wings are the hardest position to land. But when you're talking 7th/8th/9th men types to just fill some rotation minutes in the playoffs, then I think it's actually an easier position to find than guard or center. Guards who are that caliber of player typically have a crippling weakness (size or shooting) and same for centers (foot speed or offensive spacing). Guards/centers who are 7th/8th/9th men types in the regular season usually get dropped from the playoff rotations whereas wings/forwards can usually stick in limited roles because the nature of the position doesn't lend itself to crippling deficiencies.

You're right about that type of player, but the only guy I can come up with is Miles Bridges.

Waiting for the obvious question about Caruso - been discussed his shooting has really improved but also his block rate skyrocketed the last two years as well.
