Ron Swanson wrote:"Depth" is **** overrated and that's a hill I'll always die on, because it's proven over and over again every postseason. The Nuggets essentially played a 6-man rotation last year in the playoffs. We had one of the deepest teams in the league last season and it didn't matter one bit once Giannis went down. The only thing I'd be desperate to address is the backup big minutes because I don't know how anyone has any faith in Bobby being able to hang defensively in any matchup past the 1st round. It's all about getting the best 6-man playoff rotation possible, and even with limited assets and cap flexibility, it really shouldn't be that hard when you already have 4-5 of those spots filled.
Bench is important to get you to the playoffs. Running Giannis, Lopez, Mids and Dame into the ground before the playoffs start isn't going to help you much in the playoffs. Especially when a lot of these guys get hurt in the playoffs. Thibs teams are a great example.

Seems more likely that big of a move would be in the offseason.
However if the right deal is available Horst has definitely shown he isn't afraid to pull the trigger, and he'd play PR clean up to keep Giannis clean.
At this point Giannis should not care who is on the team. The Bucks organization has clearly shown its commitment by getting Dame and Doc so he needs to trust Horst and let him do his job.

Sure. But a remedy for that is to simply play the bench players you have even if you lose a few extra games. Obviously you don't want to fall too far in seeding but they also shouldn't be killing themselves to finish top 2.randy84 wrote:Ron Swanson wrote:"Depth" is **** overrated and that's a hill I'll always die on, because it's proven over and over again every postseason. I agree. I just don't think the Bucks organization sees it that way but who knows. Clearly Dame is not the same player he was in Portland. There are flashes but he is so inconsistent now...

Think Pat needs to go. AJ green looks like a better version of him at the moment. He had some really nice defensive possessions against Clarkson and I don't know how our self scouting is so bad unless we've just been blindly trusting the vet.

The Milwaukee Bucks make a deal for Tyus Jones
The Bucks were in trade rumors for Hawks guard Dejounte Murray, who seems like a surefire candidate to be dealt. However, Milwaukee likely doesn’t have the salary fillers and draft assets to make that kind of move happen. The Bucks could potentially look at a reunion with Malcolm Brogdon as well, but the same issues arise. Jones is on an expiring deal and could be had for a much lower cost. The Wizards point guard would shore up Milwaukee’s defense at the point of attack while also giving Giannis Antetokounmpo another shooter. Moving into a bench role would be an adjustment but the fit is obvious.
Smashing the over on this.

Yeah, AJ Green's defense is mostly fine. He moves his feet well and is aware on the court. Has some size issues but he's pretty strong and moves well.

Granted DDV was hurt but we were essentially playing a 6-man rotation most of 2021 and that's giving including PJ getting 38 min in Game 7 of ECSF.

Man, miss the Bled teams winning 65-70 games by +10 diff, games vs bad teams were over by the 3rd quarter and we cleared the bench by the 10 min mark….

Top 6, avoid the play in game. Beyond that I guess top 4 to get at least 1 home court advantage series.randy84 wrote:WeekapaugGroove wrote:Sure. But frankly this team shouldn't care at all who they face and I don't think home court is that big of a deal. Their goal is a chip and they will have to beat everyone to accomplish that.

Your right for Game 7 of ECSF, but I would say more of a 7-8 man rotation depending on the game. I think you are forgetting Patty C's and Forbes minutes in those playoff series.

Dame and Beasley both in the 3-pt shootout. That's cool...

Well the way the bench loses leads, I would suspect if you played them more you would be hard pressed to keep the 6th seed.

I left out Bobby and Forbes. Bobby was situational and was pretty much out of the rotation until Giannis went down.

This team isn't falling to the play-in no matter what you do with the bench. Crazy talk.

Brook
Bobby

Yes, i think a consolidation trade would work just fine. Its probably gonna be Cam and Pat or Cam and Bobby. We dont need Cam, is the thing.

Tyus Jones is such a weird trade target. When has he ever been thought of as a good defender and what problem does he currently solve for the roster? That’s gotta be some random thought rumor from an out of touch media goon.
RIP Kobe Forever. GOAT 8-24. Long Live Giannis
