Watched "The Menu" with my wife last night. We both felt incredibly underwhelmed after. And that might be an understatement.

I recommended Deadwood to my father, who is a huge history buff and lover of old Western characters, and he said after 4 episodes in it was, "like watching paint dry."

I thought I knew this man, I do not know how to move forward.

It sucked. Movies mostly suck now, and it sucks.

Wow, that might have been my favorite movie that year.

Saw American Fiction last night. Funny and thought-provoking.

Also The Menu was great. I hate pretentious "influencer" culture and they took a well-deserved kick in the nuts in that movie.
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.

Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

Community was great and Chevy was great on community, he and the rest of the cast were streets ahead. Unfortunately, like with many of his projects, everyone hated chevy.

The last season that was on yahoo is super underrated.

Curb was good, I love Leon. Classic Larry with all his complaints and grievances.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Do you think he'd like Justified as a contemporary western?

Leon is maybe even better than Larry.

My wife always says I’m a 40 year old Larry David.

Spoiler:
The scene where he swore at the top of his lungs because Siri couldn’t understand him is something I’ve done.

The old lady glasses, was funny.

Wasn’t a top ten “Curbed.” But I love that it’s back.

First of all, yes. Predator kicks ass and Arnold has his fastball but Weathers and Jesse Ventura contribute a ton and I think Jean Claude Van Dame was in the predator suit? Awesome.

Secondly, Carl Weathers belongs on the Mt Rushmore of “I’m not sure why they casted him, but he made the movie/show way better.” Arrested Development, Apollo Creed, Chubbs in Happy Gilmore, Star Wars ****…. Carl Weathers is awesome.

Nope. Kevin Peter Hall was the predator.

Yea solid but not the best they've done, maybe a bit too much yelling but still good.

I've done the "I do know what you're saying/mean" to someone (both white folks so none of the racial undertones like in show) several times when I used to have to go to an office and she'd say it loudly all the time.

I've been rewatching Curb the last few weeks. Just got done with the season The Blacks came in and now onto the reunion things. All time great move to bring in and keep Leon long term, wonder if the show would have gone this long without that addition. Episode called "The N Word" is an all time great, especially at the end when the family tells Leon that Larry said it. Think I've concluded Larry is my all time favorite tv character
Resident Lillard truther since 2015.

I hope Leon has a lot of screen time this season. The exec producer said there were more great scenes with Larry and Leon at the party but they couldn't include them all. I'd love to see deleted scenes and outtakes. Maybe the DVD releases have them.

Spoiler:
The whole Siri scene was improvised. The exec producer gave Larry the name of the restaurant and that was it. The producer did the Siri part on a walkie-talkie, all off the cuff and then they dubbed in the Siri voice

I agree. I will definitely be in on that.

Fun fact: I live approximately 300 yards from where Guiteau lived as an adolescent.

You put "Action Jackson" on the teevee and I am watching "Action Jackson" on the teevee. It had Coach, Vanity, pre-blowup Sharon Stone and some of the best tortured one-liners you can can hope for.

If I was calling Bucks games, our first 2nd round choice this year would not be blandly referred to as "A-Jax" no sir. He would be "Enthusiasm Jackson" or "Esprits de Corp Jackson." Jim Haslam, holla at a shtposter with designs on broadcasting!

Was in a ton of ridiculous movies and had a good chuckle about doing so. Obviously, the dude wasn't DeNiro but who's going to slag on Carl Weathers?

Obligatory: Carl's Weather.

My buddy and I saw Action Jackson like 7 times in the theater.

All-timer.

Self-Reliance was a weird, enjoyable, funny, sometimes depressing movie to watch. Jake Johnson's such an underrated comedic actor though, even if he is a little one-note. I recommend it.
