It sucks because I know they can clearly see the issues with him on the court, especially if we can see it. Then you have the fact that he's injury prone, you drafted a guard in the previous draft. Writing should be on the wall, but with Jeff you never know.

I don’t want to way over pay for long term options and don’t think short term ones will mean much in the grand scheme of things.

I could understand keeping Fultz if he kept on playing like in 2022/23, I would have been against it, but it's not a totally indefensible decision. But the one from this year just has no place in the NBA and surely any GM in the league must know this. He hasn't made a single 3 all year. He hasn't even attempted one in the month since he came back and has also taken a grand total of 11 shots from outside the paint in this period and his jumpshot has a horrendous hitch. He's also shot a total of 13 FTs in the 17 games he's played this year. What more can any GM need to decide that it's time to move on?

Considering the big picture? Yeah... Fultz as is right now is probably a pg that wouldn't start on most teams and we're starting him....every Team that has aspirations to go deep in the playoffs or win a title they all have a competent PG that can shoot the ball, every single one of those teams...

We're not ready to contend quite yet but why keep suffering from an issue when the solution is simple? Even if it's just a stop gap? I'd rather be a more viable playoff team right now after making a few small moves rather than stand pat and be taken out by the same tactics..... Pack the paint, dare markelle to shoot... Throw a zone in there and that's how to beat the current Orlando magic.... Big part of our issues are personnel

If even one of them is true, it definitely means we're looking at PG's and shooting. Which is good.

Kispert too. Wouldn’t hate it if the price is right.

Kispert is the non-PG bench shooter I want the most. He's good friends with Suggs and fits the timeline with the rest of the team.

I'd rather give Jett a chance first and not give up anything.

We are suffering emotional distress because our FO won’t let go of Fultz.

Why not have both?

The closest thing we've seen to a hypothetical Trae Young trade recently would have been the Cavs acquisition of Donovan Mitchell a couple of years ago.

At the time, Mitchell was a 25-year-old 3x NBA All-Star with three full years left on his max contract plus a player option for a 4th year.

Trae Young is 25-years-old, a 2x NBA All-Star and 1x All-NBA Third Team with 2.5 years left on his max contract plus a player option for a 3rd season.

The trade package for Mitchell was as follows...

Lauri Markkanen
Ochai Agbaji
Collin Sexton
2025 1st Round Pick Unprotected
2026 1st Round Pick Swap
2027 1st Round Pick Unprotected
2028 1st Round Pick Swap
2029 1st Round Pick Unprotected

The Cavs did not give up any of their core group of Garland, Mobley, Allen. Markkanen was coming off a season where he averaged 14 and 6. Sexton off an injured plagued season where he only played 11 games. And Agbaji was the 14th overall pick in that most recent draft.

I think a comparable package from Orlando would be...

Markelle Fultz expiring contract
Gary Harris expiring contract
Anthony Black
Jett Howard
3 unprotected first round picks
2 unprotected pick swaps

for

Trae Young

New rotation would be...

Young, Suggs, Franz, Paolo, Carter
Cole, Houstan, Ingles, Isaac, Mortiz

Am I crazy for preferring Dejounte (for less cost) than Trae (for all of our war chest)?

From "friend"

#1 target is Tyus

Brogdon & Lowry & Paul being discussed

Not pursuing Murray, Simons, or Trae but still listening

Have called on Kispert, Royce, Merrill, and Doug

Rival teams calling about Suggs & JI availability

Murray's stats this year with Trae off the floor are SIGNIFICANTLY better than with Trae on the floor.

Murray with Trae OFF 26.0 PTS, 7.5 AST per 36, 59.9 TS%
Murray with Trae ON 19.5 PTS, 3.9 AST per 36, 53.5 TS%

Seems like he would very much benefit from playing point guard full time again.

I don’t need a home run this year. A nice single like Tyus would go a long way for me (as long as we don’t give up anyone of value of course). A couple of 2nds and an expiring… or Cole if I’m being honest, would make me happy.

Yeah Suggs no unless ita for a star.

Kiwpert and Nerrill sure... get those Magic killers off the other teams so they wont hurt us. Lol

Wonder why we arent talking avout G.Allen? 6'5 Guard and can shoot the lights out. PESKY player. Imagine him Ingles and MoeSwag with the 2nd unit. We would have the Malice in the Palace or something.

We probably are asking for their secondary star for Suggs. Likr if BOS we ask for Brown, MIL we ask for Dame and etc etc

Feels like one of Fultz or Cole has to be outgoing if they are bringing another PG in.
