• 5th last place = 36%
• 6th last place = 54%
• 7th last place = 68%

So even in the realistic best case where we end up 5th last, there's still a 36% chance of losing our pick. If we stay where we are in 6th last, the odds of losing our pick exceeds 50%. I don't see this as being in "pretty good shape."

We have 33 games remaining which can be used to assess whether BBQ can win games together. If not, and a BBQ led team can't even beat out two of ATL/CHI/ORL/MIA for a playoff spot, then how good will they become towards being championship caliber?

The best way to find out whether they can win is for them to try to win, not asking them to tank or rest/sit them by feigning injury. Thus, IMO, with likely <50% chance of keeping our pick, we are better off continuing to try to win this season than tank.

Anything is possible, but I don't expect we stay "ahead" of Memphis (17 vs 18). 13 injuries right now, although many are short term is very hard to keep up with.

Raps are really bad, I think it will be difficult to not get top 6 pick. Even if they get unlucky and leapt and they give up 7th pick, its not that big of a deal as next year they will be in the 4-7 range again and we would have to do this whole song and dance anyways. At least they have 3 other picks this year and can move up if they want to I am sure. Awful trade yes, but not the end of the world really. The worst part of the trade is that they didnt tank for Wemby and tried to make the playoffs in 2023

Raps are really bad, I think it will be difficult to not get top 6 pick. Even if they get unlucky and leapt and they give up 7th pick, its not that big of a deal as next year they will be in the 4-7 range again and we would have to do this whole song and dance anyways.
