I know I am not the only one.

But I honestly think I would be more hyped if we traded Dame at the deadline than I was when we traded for him last September.

I know there is zero chance the Bucks trade Dame, but it's an interesting thought. I am pretty certain that whatever we would get in return for Dame, would give us more than what Dame has given us thus far. If I was Bucks GM I would at least be working the phones.

What's the worst that could happen? Dame finds out that you were shopping him and plays like he doesn't want to be here??

:P

This is where I'd say it's a bit overkill in the diminishing returns department. No point in getting Williams if you're already getting DFS. Or you'd want O'Neal instead of DFS coming here with Grant.

I would absolutely do this same deal with Royce vs DFS. Now you're talking.

My dream senario would be to trade Portis for Grant Williams and get back enough compensation to get O'Neale and Lonnie Walker. If the Bucks could get those 3 it would cure a lot of problems.

This might seem ridiculous but here is the 9-team trade I came up with to get us Tyrese Haliburton and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander while only giving up Robin Lopez.

We'll see what Brooklyn really wants for DFS.

They have luxury tax considerations which will come into play especially if they are going to resign Claxton.

Nets are gonna want to be good again soon whatever they do since they don't control so many of their picks.

The Brooklyn Nets reportedly received an offer of two first-round picks for forward Dorian Finney-Smith, but the team rejected that package.

Brian Lewis of the New York Post reported the news on Finney-Smith, who is reportedly coveted by six teams, including the Los Angeles Lakers. He also reported the latest on forward Royce O'Neale.

"A source told The Post the Nets rejected an offer of two first-rounders for Finney-Smith, reportedly coveted by not just the Lakers but also by the Mavericks, Bucks, Thunder, Suns and Kings. O'Neale could fetch a first-round pick, and has also been linked to the Mavericks, Nuggets, Pacers, Bucks, Timberwolves, Suns and Kings."

If Royce O'Neill is still a Net an hour before the deadline they'll have a fun decision on what poopy pile of second rounds picks they prefer between Milwaukee and Phoenix.

Nobody is trading a 1st for Royce O'Neale. Only the Nets themselves are dumb enough to do that.

That Nets blurb might be the biggest bull **** smoke-screen I've ever seen lol. There's a zero percent chance that a team offered two first-round picks for DFS, and an even less than zero chance that the Nets would have turned that down.

You'd be surprised who reads this board. And has for the past 20-years. Agents, players and GM's scan it quite frequently. Mr. Lasry Jr would regularly read and interact when they first bought the club.

A former Bucks GM would even occasionally post here in rare instances.

Wasn't there a photo floating around of RealGM up on a TV screen during the Draft? There are for sure Front Office people that glance here from time to time.

It's not overkill.. we need more of these types. DFS gets mad and takes it personal if his man or anyone on the other team goes off plus his 3 shot gets better in the playoffs. There's no overkill in adding as many as we can get that have these traits.

Overpay. Let’s see them akshually win something in the playoffs before giving up assets.

In 2023-24, Finney-Smith will earn a base salary of $13,394,160, while carrying a cap hit of $13,932,008 and a dead cap value of $13,394,160.

Another one of those guys that would move no needle, but is an example of making a move just for the sake of it. No go Horst. These aren't serious suggestions.

Concentrate on Thybulle, Caruso and Dunn. Any two will do, but don't give up Bobby, unless one of the two is Caruso.

Hell yeah to Thybulle but DFS doesn't move the needle? You're going to have to explain that logic to me.

Thybulle, Caruso and Dunn are all better defenders than DFS in my opinion and all three would be better defenders against guards, which is what I think the priority should be.

I'm not a big believer in defensive rankings/stats, but I know a lot of people on here are.

Here is Stat Muse defensive rankings for this season:

DFS 118.6
Dunn 116.8
Thybulle 114.8
Caruso 113.2
Portis 115.3

And by the way, Portis's rankings the three prior years were 110, 109,108.

Keeps a spot open for a buyout guy, and there's your 8-9 man playoff rotation:

Dame
Beasley/Grimes
Middleton/DFS/Pat
Giannis/Crowder
Brook

Wow. Since when do Knicks and Nets fans make proposals on the Bucks board?

We had an all star PG a year ago. Remember Jrue Holiday?

I would be kind of leery about trading Dame because if he gets it together down the stretch of the regular season and into the playoffs, we would have a real shot at getting back to the NBA Finals IMO. I just don't know if that's going to happen. We're 50 games into the season with 32 games to go and it's not really working. Thus far in a Bucks uniform, Dame has basically been a worse version of Trae Young. That's not the player we thought we were getting back in late September. Dame has had some nice moments, but it really seems like his head isn't into being a Milwaukee Buck.

Then you add to that, Dame is the same guy who demanded that he be traded to Miami and nowhere else before he ended up getting stuck....I mean traded to Milwaukee.

And if you think Dame was hell bent on going to Miami because he was hungry to win a championship, I have ocean front property to sell you Oshkosh.
