Old idea, trying to dial it in TOR/SAS side of Philly
Raps trade: Brown/worst of 24 OKC/LAC/HOU/UTH(lotto protections added, but it will convey)/24 DET 2nd
Raps get: Huerter/Kormaz/25 SAC 1st (lotto for 2 years, then 2 2nds), 27 PHI 2nd/$2M
Kings trade: Huerter/25 SAC 1st* (lotto for two years, then 2 2nds), top 55 2nd
Kings get: Brown/worst of 24 OKC/LAC/HOU/UTH(lotto protections added, but it will convey)/24 DET 2nd
* technically 1st available, if they don't convey pick to ATL this year it becomes 27 SAC 1st(has to skip a year for Stepian)
Sixers trade: Korkmaz,27 PHI 2nd/$2M
Sixers get: top 55 2nd
Sixers do their duck tax thing taking advantage of the difference between Brown/Huerter salary
Kings move an offensive player for a more well-rounded one and swap a 25 1st for two top 31 picks this year on top of that. By moving out Huerter's money, it means Brown doesn't have to be a rental if he proves to be what they want, making those cheap salaries from the 24 picks that much more helpful.
Raptors want less picks in 24 so move two of them out to get a 1st that should be better (and while I think we don't really know next year's draft is better than this one, most of ya'll do so they get that bump plus what will be a higher pick). And Huerter takes the spot of Trent filling a need at a team friendly number. Oh and some cash. Cash is good.

theoretically since kings' pick owed to atlanta rolls over to 2025 if they miss playoffs they cant trade 25 1st like this

I'd be ok with it without the Detroit 2nd

Can you help me understand if you think I have the value wrong between Brown/Huerter or between the 1st round pick swap or a combination of a little of both? I've worked on versions of this for a bunch and I like to understand where people are seeing the value.

Re: Old idea, trying to dial it in TOR/SAS side of Philly
Does Korkmaz go to Toronto ?
I like this deal, this is good for the teams involved, all get a little out of it. DET 2nd to Kings I actually like because the other picks likely convey above it so it's like just moving up in draft.
edit: mis-read that pick toTOR is in 25 so its not quite moving up in the draft but yeah, I got it now.

I have Huerter and Brown worth around the same with slight edge to Brown as he holds more league wide value (defensive versatility and proven championship contributor). I think Raps could get a 1st this year for Brown while i dont think the Kings could for Huerter. The '25 pick>'24 pick but, even with all the rhetoric of bad draft, i dont think people know enough to be confident that the 20-30 range (where both picks are projected) are gonna have better prospects. And i think the odds of producing a much better pick (say the 15th or 16th) is counter balanced by the odds of not receiving a pick at all as the WC is competitive enough to imagine the Kings in the play in in b2b years, where anything can happen.
Though with multiple picks in this years draft, i dont mind punting one to next year and would pay a little to even do it. I think the Raps are losing value without the 2nd rounder, but its very justifiable. So id do it, i just wouldnt add the 2nd on top

Anything with semi-complicated pick swaps gets a yes from me.
I like all the pieces though. Huerter is a young enough floor spacer that works well with IQ/Barnes. Philly does what Philly should do.
Might could make Sac throw a distant second to Toronto to balance it?

I just keep seeing a bunch of posters from various fanbases, but mainly Raptors fans complaining about 24 1sts and with the Kings not having a 24 1st, I thought they might not mind getting one. It's definitely over-engineered trying to please the kind of poster unlikely to be pleased anyway, but if nothing else a fun intellectual exercise trying to figure out values.

Yeah, Sac getting two top 33 picks in this draft would be nice as the team starts to get real close to the tax next season. And by the time Sac is (or should be) deeper in the tax, you can hope those two guys have two years left of rookie deals and have developed into top 8-10 rotation pieces..
I think the value in OP is pretty good. Maybe the pick should only be top 10 protected or maybe Sac should send a second.
I don’t see a huge value gap between Huerter and Brown, so I think the OP is fine for Toronto as is.

Yeah from TO's POV, they would want to keep that Detroit pick.
So for them, they trade the better player in Brown, for Heurter who has more term, but swap from 2024 to 2025 for it. Nice and clean.
Adding in the Detroit pick is overkill. They don't need to trade 2 picks AND the best player for a year swap and a lesser guy.

This is probably the better way to do it. I like it.
I also like a Schroder to Sac trade for their ATL 2nds

Right idea, wrong pieces.
Don’t mind Brown + pick for a potentially better pick. That has legs. Would prefer something like this.
Brown + OKC first for Fournier + DAL first. Or
Brown + IND first for Bertans + HOU first
Basically using Brown to move up ten spots roughly into the top 20 from 28ish or moving up from 18ish to 11th. Something like that.
