Hot take: Mikal Bridges is damn good, but not that good. Dare I say overrated?

He's not 1st or 2nd option good but pretty good as a 3rd or even 4th option and is a plus defender. The Suns were so close as a championship team when he was there and he was pretty much that for them.

More importantly, he has been the most durable player in the NBA so far playing in 425 consecutive games. How many players can we say have played in 400+ straight games?

Knicks should have traded for Mikal instead of OG. At least Mikal plays.

Before the trade I would’ve thought Mikal to be the better player. Crazy. It would be insane to have both. I’d sell the farm to get him.

Apparently, we lack the assets to acquire him at all no matter what. Brooklyn seems to be massively over valuing him.

Yeah I know. My list is long. I just hope it’s not Bruce Brown. He is the most underwhelming name out there as he doesn’t shoot or defend particularly well; or at least not well enough to make it feel like he’d provide a major boost.

Since NJ won’t trade with us, maybe they eventually do Houston.
Then 1 year later Bridges tells them he will walk at years end and wants Knicks.
We give them an acceptable package, more than OG of course
but like 80% value due to risk of Bridges walking.

i feel like the bits of info leaking about there being more buyers than sellers, only 11 teams including our knicks controlling most of the draft assets, and teams not being moved by 2024 first round picks is setting us up for a quiet trade deadline league wide

I think there is going to be a bounty of low level plan C trades. Like last call at a dive bar, sometimes you gotta settle.
Fournier and FRP for BB works for me simply because it's better than nothing. If we are not going to seriously address some of our big issues, then f-it just get a guy Thibs is willing to play unlike toppin who has done everything he reasonably can.

You know ever year we be like it's gonna be a quiet deadline, then some dumb team does a weird trade that doesn't make sense. Then the flood gates open

Unless Kyrie uncorks something or Ime bangs one of his players wives I just don't see it.

The only possible curve ball would be something like Ball to the Nets
