So you assume we would be losing games if some of our star is played a few less minutes each.

For all we know they might be winning even easy..

Tatum and brown , especially and definitely a l burnt out last year or at least appear.. But hey let's win regular season games again..

Dude it shouldn’t be that hard to comprehend.
Because of all the blowouts we have the luxury of playing our starters heavy minutes in certain games. It also gets their bodies prepared playoff like minutes.

You forgetting a couple of years ago when Bud was playing Giannis 30 monutes & it ended up costing them in the playoffs when Giannis was cooked at the end of games because he didn’t prepare his body for it.

Ironically bud and giannis actually won a title in the last couple.. We have one in thirty eight.. So our formula hasn't won ****.

That’s because Bud ramped his minutes up the next season when they won the chip …

Jesus Christ it feels like I’m talking to a brick wall

I would be surprised if Brad makes a deal this year at the deadline. We don't have minutes to go around. Guys like Brissett and Lamar Stevens need to play more but there aren't minutes to go around.

A lot of guys around the league are going to have the Olympics this summer. So depth early NEXT season could be pretty important, especially for teams that also go deep into the postseason.

All five of our starters are currently under consideration for their national teams.

Normally I would say this has to be a joke.. But then again..i have seen yiur other posts.

Defensive bigs take time to develop. Someone with years under his belt already from a well-coached team would be a nice add.

I'd be very happy if Aldama is a Celtic by Thursday night. He'd be a nice add to the roster, maybe not so much in the playoffs, but as a regular season contributor this year that can be that Al backup and develop, as you say.

Plus, who doesn't like the idea of an Queta/Aldama-Inside/Outside-Portugal/Spain young dynamic duo?

Santi is a good shooter, could probably spot Tatum for a few minutes, and although not a great defender, there is that valuable rim protection he brings. He's near the top of my wishlist for TPE.

I am not so sure of this.. We are so close. If there is a chance that a player can move the needle a little bit , I say brad does it..

I'm afraid it is because they are not very good. I like both players and expected a bit more.

Brissett is a nice bench energy guy, but for a contending team looking to secure HCA and every team bringing their A game against us, Brissett is just not a good enough shooter.

Stephens has size/strength and a few pet moves, but he's playing minutes when the game has been decided and has not really separated himself from the other bench dwellers or shown that he is above the competition. Great guy sure, and happy to keep him around but I must say he's been underwhelming in the limited minutes he's gotten.

Might be a smart move for them. They don't care about capspace next season and they need someone besides Simmons who can pass.

From Hollinger on the Athletic: https://theathletic.com/5254748/2024/02/06/nba-trade-deadline-rumors-2024-hollinger/

This was a pretty good and comprehensive article, imo.

Naji Marshall, New Orleans: Shoutout to my podcast partner Nate Duncan for calling this one out. Nobody is talking about him much, but Marshall would be a great pickup for a tax team that needs another piece at the forward spot.
He’s currently on a minimum deal and comes with full Bird rights, meaning that he could fit into the salary structure in a place like Boston or the LA Clippers, then be re-signed in free agency despite the handcuffs that normally face teams above the second tax apron. In New Orleans, Marshall is on the fringes of a deep rotation, and his impact on their luxury tax position makes it seem unlikely that he’d be back after this season. It seems like he’d be worth multiple seconds to a tax team.

Bird rights aren't really that useful for guys you wouldn't sign for more than the minimum anyway.

Grant already available, yikes. Dude was a useful player for a time but looks like he's continued his frustrating play into Dallas
