In a shocking twist, the launch of Suicide Squad has been a disaster.

Ah, that sucks. I haven't experienced this so far. What platform and where abouts did you run into it?

PC. After some research on Reddit it appears some aspects of the game engine are limited to 60hz which is likely what is throwing me off

It's wild to me how poorly optimized Cities: Skylines II is even this far after launch. Still largely unplayable for me on a 3080Ti and 5800x, and I've done all the settings according to guides.

Damn, that sucks. It plays fine enough for me now and on worse hardware, and has since about 2 weeks after launch, but specs can be super tricky.

What's sucked for me is lack of mods and assets. For example, the one high school that came with the base game is absolutely gigantic and looks ridiculous to duplicate over and over to meet education demand.

CS:1 is unfortunately still far superior it seems. I got tired of managing what mods worked after updates, but maybe that's not as much of an issue now that that aren't frequent releases for it (or maybe any).

Another Steam update, this time tagging DLC, hit for Elden Ring. Goddammi, FromSoft, just release the Erdtree DLC already. The 710 hours I have in this game absolutely aren't enough.

What's choppy? Game is smooth AF for me.

If I was looking to buy a tablet and literally the only thing I needed it for was streaming movies and TV, is there any reason I wouldn't get the cheapest iPad I could find?

The Ogre Battle games are some of my favorite, I swear I beat the one on N64 5-6 times and this seems to be the spiritual successor of it. Will be perfect timing to pick up once I finish Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.

If you're a FF guy, a Rebirth demo is coming tomorrow.

I don't have Playstation or I'd definitely be playing. I watched a Let's Play of FF XVI on YouTube when it came out and am planning to do the same with Rebirth.

As long as your internet speed is good I don't think the hardware in an older iPad would make shows unwatchable.

List for the rest of winter is finish 16, beat VII remake again, Rebirth, and then P3 Reloaded. Maybe Dragons Dogma as well as P3

I'm telling myself I'm **almost** done grinding on FF Tactics. I have my main character and three supports that I've built up. I've made Agrias into a powerhouse. I'm watching Beat Bobby Flay while finishing the grind to total party of five maxed out Dark Knights. It's been a stupid amount of tedium over the last week. The only real value outside of being dominant early is that I can say that I did it, and without cheating. My little sprite dudes and dudettes also look cool as hell in their Dark Knight gear.

Persona 3 Reload is such a perfectly executed version of the game...having just replayed P3 less than a year ago, everything plays so smooth. The graphics are slick and gameplay just as fun. My only gripe is the voice acting but I think that's just because I've played so much P3 over the years that anything new just called worse.

Cid is objectively incorrect. Voice, mannerisms. Just all wrong.

Legacy FF7 spoilers, I guess?

Spoiler:
Also, I caught in the trailer and gameplay vid that this game goes through the 'arrival in the Forgotten Capital', so I am guessing that it ends with Aeris' death. But they also kind of said something about deciding her fate? It could be read either way, but it kind of made me wonder about if her death could be retconned.

Dub or Sub. I can't handle cringe ass dubs in most cases but 7 remake was good

If you’ve never played a Persona game before, what’s a better start point: P3R or P5R?

Objectively P5R. Persona 5 is the most well executed game in the series. Persona 4 is the best imo, and P3 has the most interesting/darkest story.

This seems to be a debate. Going to weigh-in, as I just came to weigh-in on P3R anyways.

Echo everything M_P says here - except I have no prior P3 experience. So the voice acting doesn't bother me - I think it's great - as I have nothing prior to expect it matches.

I have some complicated feelings here though when comparing the two games. Parts of P3R I like more than P5R, contrasting what you'd expect - it's kind of refreshing that there are less social stats to manage, there are less places to go and things to do outside of combat. And this is going to be subjective, but I'm also liking a lot of the characters and the overall story more from first impressions - and I hear it picks-up about halfway through. But it's all a SLOW burn. P5R throws you into the action in this regard much quicker.

The biggest difference I can see is how the dungeons work. P5R has beautiful, handcrafted dungeons; P3R has procedurally generated, repetitive levels. I'm not sure - for me, at least - that it's as big of a detractor as some make it to be, as ultimately I just want to battle and level-up my personas. But even through like 1/6 of the game, I'm sure some would feel it gets really repetitive. I do like the systems around personas in P3R a lot better than P5R. The card system rocks.

I prefer P5R music, but P3R music is also A+. Both have a ton of style.

My gut says start P3R so that P5R feels like more of a true next gen-featured experience. But you really can't go too wrong. Do know going in that it's like 1/4 combat and 3/4 story and social simulator, though. It's not for everyone.

Objectively P5R.

I really am not sure this is true...

...for this exact reason.
