Meaning other teams. Idc where anyone goes on a website. All are welcome to “our” board if they want to have good discussion.

Just saying it’s a waste of time because the Bulls FO is so incredibly bad. Boston aims for banners. We aim for playin appearances. It’s pathetic.

Btw, I live in NE, and root for the Celtics to do well pretty much all the time except for rare niche scenarios where the Bulls might actually have something to play for.

Sure that's all cool but I don't get the thinking about breezing in here and telling people what to do.

The deadline to sign a player to a two-way contract won’t arrive until March 4, so there’s no urgency for these clubs to fill their openings right away. But the prorated portion of a two-way salary is such a minor financial commitment for an NBA franchise that we may see these teams bring in a new two-way player sooner rather than later, even if they’re not certain he’ll hold that spot for the rest of the season.

I think that we Convert Queta by this date, and sign another Two-Way.

Let's see what Brad cooks up at the deadline. If we add another big man, then the need to convert Queta basically disappears.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It's be lame if we all agreed about everything :)

Tony Jones: Utah’s starting small forward has emerged as a serious trade target for two contending teams, according to multiple league sources: the Phoenix Suns and the Boston Celtics. Both teams need to strengthen their respective second units, and Fontecchio has an easy salary number for Phoenix and Boston to get to as he is in the final year of a contract that pays him $3.1 million annually.
https://hoopshype.com/rumor/suns-and-celtics-targeting-simone-fontecchio/

So, having played 2 years with the Jazz, Fontecchio would come with Early Bird rights, meaning he could be signed for up to 1.75% of his current salary, or 104% of the average NBA salary. The average NBA salary for the 2023-24 season was just shy of eight figures at $9.7 million dollars for the season, so around $10M. I've never watched him play, other than highlights, but he has been starting for the Jazz, so I don't know how much he could get in free agency. Seeing as guys like Grant Williams and Richaun Holmes on Dallas, for example, will each make a little more than 13M next year, and the new CBA will undoubtedly increase salaries next year, this may be a rental if we get him, or maybe 10M will be in the ballpark if we wanted to keep him. It's going to be an interesting deadline for us.

Plus would give them protection if the team can't resign Hauser for various reasons. Also if he is a solid replacement for Hauser at a lower cost (than a potential future Hauser extension), would give them the ability to use Hauser as a trade chip next year if it made sense. Not saying they should do those things, just potential avenues if they made that move.

Drummond abusing Gobert last night, of course he probably let up the same amount of points on the other end.

I didn’t think anyone would take it that literally and get the context, but that’s the challenge of the written word at times.
No harm intended. Cheers.

Yeah we had him but traded him before the season started so he didn't play in any games for us.

He was a bum back then but has turned his career around in Utah.

Horford, Pritchard and a 1st (maybe 2) for PJ Washington.

I hate to trade Al but father time has finally come for him. Kornet and Queta are good enough to be back up bigs. I like Payton but we all know he's gonna get benched in the playoffs. This gives you a major upgrade on the wing and will help preserve Tatum and Brown's energy, fouls and overall health during playoff games and series.

This is a great point of view. If you can't get a big difference maker then add depth pieces that do something a little different that you may need.

Well, Brad is certainly a busy man right now!

All of these players are in trade rumors with us in the past few days:

Jae'Sean Tate
Simone Fontecchio
Andre Drummond
Delon Wright
Kelly Olynyk
Lonnie Walker IV
Otto Porter Jr
Kris Dunn

Nice list!

Only guy on there I wouldn't really want is Tate. Just think he's too much of a non-shooter and don't really want a non-big who can't shoot. Plus he doesn't fit the TPE so we'd have to be giving up too many players for a guy who isn't a good fit.

All the others I think can help us. Hoping Brad gets at least 1 of them...if not 2.

That's one aspect of the game the Celtics lack.

Horford used to be that physical presence when he was younger.

It's true Drummond won't really be an upgrade, but he brings that physical presence the Cs are lacking.

So for the 7th year in a row the Celtics are linked to Tyreke Evan....I mean OJ May...I mean Andre Drummond. Here is the same reason why they will not trade anything for him...he can't shoot 3s. Luke Kornet is more valuable to Joe Mazzulla. Drummond will not...will not...be on this team by the end of the deadline that much I'm 1000% sure of.

Try to find a way to get Bald Mamba from Chicago though.

Celtics actually did get Gallo after about 12 years of rumors of him going to the Celtics
