Who said combined, he makes 3.5 million, if Detroit is somewhat interested in Highsmith, you could move him and Dru for Muscala, Miami could then sign a two way player, give a two way contract to someone else and still wait on a buyout player.

Not trading our 2nd best defender who has given Tatum and Brown fits over the last 2 years for Mike Muscala when we already have love lol

If there's a traffic cone to hunt, does it really matter all that much and Miami has 2-3 of them.

Believe it or not it does, especially when guys like Tatum would rather try and shoot over the top of someone than get to the rim

Sure, if you can keep that defender on him vs him switching on a pick when the offense is hunting the matchup they want.

At some point, playoff teams are going to put their work in practice to defeat the zone when they have a series against Miami.

That is the importance of the press defender that Spo wants to utilize. Press the ball handler to run down the clock, so the opposing team have less time to run their offense to exploit mismatches.

That’s part of defense, you can’t just give them the matchup they want. If they’re attacking something you have to adjust

Bam will never play PF here before we get an elite shooting C to play next to him.

Since we can't get that type of Center, a very rare player - we need to play Bam next to legit sized PF that is an elite shooter.

Cam Johnson is best available target, along with Jerami Grant that might be harder to get.

We don't need an elite shooting C if Bam expands his range. Every year we keep getting typecasted into these undersized 4's and limited 'bigs' like Olynyk who don't offer anything outside of one skill.

You guys like numbers a lot around here. This is the weight of the starting 4 on the last 5 nba champions

236
230
242
254
245

These 210 lb tweeners are not the answer.

Id take him too, been on his bandwagon for a while

I'm interested in Miami's defense in the playoffs with a Rozier/Herro backcourt because it may be difficult to stop the hunting when 40% of your defenders on the court aren't good.

If it meant we’d be getting this kind of banter from Eric Reid and John Crotty on a nightly basis, I’d advocate for trading for him over anyone else.

Not only that, you are seeing first hand how relationship work in the NBA and how important that is. The Celtics traded with the Grizz earlier this year. They didnt try to dick around and over inflate a players value, they made a deal. Now because of that working relationship it was easier for the Celtics to make this deal. Sure the Grizz could have asked for more but because of that good relationship they didnt.
