I hate the term BBIQ, Tillman’s is 136. Not bad.

in terms of playstyle, he's like a 20th-century Grant Williams
in terms of personality, he is not at all Grant Williams

Also guys who refer to themselves as Sr. are just annoying. Like bro, no one's mistaking you for your toddler son.

I disagree.

"Look at me; I'm proud of being a father!" is in ways a very good message to send. So I don't let the artifice bother me.

Ditto for the Deuce Tatum hype.

Random and pretty inconsequential but is he extension eligible? Brad can’t really trade for someone without throwing a contract at them first chance he gets.

So no TPE then right? Its a salary matching trade?

Looks like Tillman fits into the forgotten Jackson TPE?

Im a big fan. Watched him a lot in the Lakers series last playoffs and he guarded lebron ok. Lebron carved him (cos he is lebron) but did ok and showed a lot of versatility

I don't believe any TPE needs to be used here since make basically the same amount ($1,9 mil for Tillman, $2.0 mil for Stevens).

So our TPEs remain intact.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

Man, this really does look like Al Horford on defense.

Read on Twitter

This way, he can play the 5..or he could play the 4 alongside Porzingis..with Tillman being the guy who is out further away from the basket, defending PnR, contesting shots, switching, etc. and Porzingis plays the roamer role..as the back line of defense, staying close to the basket and out of the the PnR action where he might have to switch or contest a 3.

And since both Al and KP can shoot, the lack of shooting from Tillman is much less of an issue. Tillman can play alongside either of them..we could really rotate the 3 of them in and out and play lots of double big lineups if we wanted to - even in the playoffs vs teams like Philly, Milwaukee, Denver, cleveland and NY.

Great move.

Definitely not the bigger TPE being touched. I guess you could create a Lamar Stevens TPE by taking Tillman into the Jackson TPE. I don't think it matters for us though. All TPEs are getting wiped out at the end of the year if above the 2nd apron (I think anyway).

He has been horrible on offense this season but the only 2 seasons he played over 1000 minutes, his TS% was above 60% compared to the abysmal 44% this year. I think he can be a capable finisher around the rim with better talent around him so I would expect it to improve towards his career averages.

I don't think this is a depth move, I think he'll play over Queta and possibly Brissett and Kornet too

This is a Brad guy all the way. I bet you he has liked him since he entered the league (I have). Really good, versatile, switchable defender with good basketball smarts. Theis isn't a perfect comp, but he has a lot of that to him.

His efficiency has been completely awful this year, but I'm willing to overlook it and expect him to be closer to the just below average guy he has always been.

Last years playoffs. 1st round. Very small sample size but cool to get a guy with the ability to see the floor in the playoffs
