Memphis going full on tank mode.....6 losses in a row.

As hard as the Raptors have been tanking they still got competition for the 6 spot.

We will be super lucky to keep our pick. Odds aren’t great especially if memphis takes us over.

Going to be shytty to give SA a top 8 pick

True, but than at least we don't have to agonize next season. Maybe they top 6 protected it because that's where they imagine the talent will be. Hope to keep top 6 pick but if not moving on.

They made it top 6 because they were desperate for Poeltl. It just sucks to not get anything when ur team is at the bottom and deserve the pick.

There is no way for any scout to definitively say there is a 6-men tier of top prospects each year for the next 3 years. The top-6 protection is a result of bad negotiation for a role player center who can't see the floor in closing mins of a play-off game.

And I knew it the second the details were released.
He would be basically unplayable in the clutch situations of a playoff game.

You have to admit alot of the young players you were high on 6-8 months ago, their values have dropped tremendously.

It's a bad trade. No disagreement there. But, this is the reality. I love drafts and am found of selecting picks. I have a feeling the Raptors will win into the top 4. If they don't it will sting. The pick will be freed though and then all the picks will be back. If this 2025 draft is so much better like the pundits say then we can look forward to a top 10 pick next year. It is what it is at this point.

It seems you want you're pound of flesh for their mistakes but fyi the FO is not going anywhere anytime soon.

I'm probably in the minority, but I think AJ & Mathurin are both overrated. But I like Mathurin way more than AJ.
