Less than 18 hours before TDL. Who stays? Who goes?

Post#1 » by SpezNc » Thu Feb 8, 2024 4:11 am

Who is traded?

Can choose up to 4 players that are graded/waived.

My prediction:

Barnes : 100% stays
Quick : 100% stays
RJ : 100% stays
Dick : 95% stays
Nwora : 90% stays (minimal value, no real point to trade him)
Poeltl : 90% stays (heavily protected 1st)
Schroder : 85% stays (SRP + Salary matching)
Porter Jr : 75% stays (no value)
Trent : 75% stays (SRP)
McDaniel : 75% stays (negative asset)
Young : 75% stays (no value to heavily protected 2nd)
Boucher : 60% stays (salary matching)
Brown : 25% stays ( FRP but the market for FRP is thin , hopefully we can get a first)

Lewis : 25% Waived
Temple : 25% Waived

There's no option for "noone will be traded"!
We all have different opinions, and that is one thing that makes this forum great.

I think dumping Boucher is the most likely scenario.

Each time I am doing a poll, I am missing something.

I will change it.

Boucher, Brown, Porter traded. Temple, Thad waived for roster spots to complete trades. Dennis and Gary stay. Temple joins coaching staff.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Brown will go to the Knicks while Otto will go to the Celtics.

I'd be shocked if anyone else gets traded based on what's been rumored.

We should be able to get something of value for Brown from a contender (whether it be now or next season) while Boucher could net us something somewhat worthwhile from a team like Phoenix that has been rumoured to be looking to upgrade their bench. I'm hoping for another move or two to free up some more minutes for Gradey while also recouping some assets, but I wouldn't be terribly upset if we held on to everyone because we'll still have the flexibility to move them in the future. We have a crapload of filler contracts now and a large chunk of those will be expiring next season. Some combination of Brown (23M), Schroder (13M) and Boucher (11M) could all be used as pretty sizable salary filler in one or two trades next season.

My sources that broke the news of the exact time when the OG trade will happen tells me that a Bruce Brown trade is "basically a done deal."
We'll be acquiring a first round pick.

If you’re wrong, you’re treating the entire Raptors board to the pizza party that the players never got to have

Looks like Boucher might go to the Pelicans..
Brown to the Knicks
Otto to the Suns

To me a contender should be doing anything to get a pg like Schroder.. perfect off the bench guy..

Bucks might make a change or two..

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

I bet we are trading our vets(Brown,Dennis, GTJ) for draft picks (2024) or young players.

I say we keep Dennis, he's good for the culture and we can get something decent for him next season if needed. Unless his value drops then keep him.

Most likely Boucher and/or Brown get moved assuming we get a pick back. With all the rumours out there, I doubt we make a trade unless a 1st is coming back for them, even if it's heavily protected in Boucher's case. I get the feeling GTJ stays.

Porter should be moved too even if for a second and expiring, but I'm not even sure that's coming our way.

Schroder possibly has the highest trade value, but I don't see it as likely he is moved given we still need PG play and IQ has been injured. He might be a piece that gets moved at the draft along with a pick or two for a decent prospect from a contender that flamed out (NO for example)
