Do you guys think Grant Williams could play center for us for stretches? He’s only 6’6 but hes built like an offensive lineman.
still learning the game

Feels like what we end up with if our offers for other guys are ultimately not enough.

Have this feeling its either going to be wiggins/ saric by end of today or portis goes to dallas for williams n a 1st then the bucks trade that 1st plus their 2nd round pick plus narjon/ pat/? to atlanta for murray. One of those 2(wiggins looked really good last night)

Mitchell can play defense at least.

Schroder was part of our Donte trade talks when we insisted Grant Williams be part of the deal. Horst might like him.

I could see how either would be a positive addition but we’d need another move for someone big enough to guard 2’s and 3’s in the playoffs if we really intend to fix our problems on the perimeter.

Schroeder might go for a buyout if he doesn’t get traded. Would be a good add at that point. Both are POA defenders which we need, and neither should cost much of anything

No, he’s a speed bump that doesn’t rebound or protect the rim at all. We’d be better off putting Thanasis out there at the 5.

I think they feel Grant is a PJ Tucker kind of guy in terms of flexibility. But PJ was so unique, i dint think he is capable of having the same impact

Grant Williams at the 5 would be a disaster, that is not him under any circumstances. Would you like to see Jae Crowder get a try at the 5? Why do you guys hate rebounding and rim protection now?

Grant Williams or the likes at the "5" just means Giannis is your 5 and that's a good thing IMO.

PJ Tucker wasn’t even that good on the court for us, after he left there has been some major revisionism going on to point he gets credited with our championship run and you have people trying to cargo cult our way back to it. That’s basically why thet traded 4 or 5 second round picks for Jae last year too, its a dumb pursuit and lack of original thinking. I remember PJ mostly getting epically cooked by KD and not being able to jump over a phone book, he got frustrated at Bud once and people act like he took control of the team from him.

Anyways, Grant Williams isnt PJ Tucker by a long shot either. Dallas desperately needs a 4 and they want to dump Grant Williams, lets not be the stupid ones and bail them out.

Giannis doesn't play the 5. We might want it, we might see more of it in the playoffs but he isn't playing heavy C minutes.

Okay so I’ve been really busy lately and haven’t been able to keep tabs on the team/rumors. Are any of these trade targets being thrown around here based on anything concrete or just random speculation?
