Not a perfect player, but good trade for the Sixers.

I guess this puts the Sixers about $2 mil. over the tax. Danuel House is probably the next casualty.

OPJ might actually be a realistic option now that he'll probably be bought out

Good trade for Philly.

Also, no idea what Dallas thought they were getting with Williams and why they thought he was going to improve.

There’s a myth perpetuated out there that Luka makes everyone around him better when in fact it’s the complete opposite

Fischer being a wet blanket. I don't believe him.

There may not be a move today. But I think it's significant that they didn't touch the Grant TPE. It means they will be on the phone.

I'm not watching much of Dallas this year but I do wonder how much that team is designed to optimize Luka rather than Luka optimizing the team. They're not necessarily the same thing.

There's no design involved in the way the current Mavs are constructed. They just randomly sign or trade for players and hope for the best.

If they don't use the Grant TPE today they effectively lose it because they are a 2nd apron team. Can't use it next year.

Yeah, that's partly Kidd but I think it's almost more Luka?

1) It's being reported today that Boston is looking for a "defensive wing"
2) Bobby Marks from ESPN said a couple weeks ago that he could see Boston making a move for a wing, and the 2 names he dropped as potential targets were Naji Marshall and John Konchar
3) Naji Marshall mysteriously sits out last night's game with a "back" injury. Pelicans beat the Clippers in that game by 11, They played 12 guys..none were Marshall so I guess they don't need him anymore
4) Marshall fits the Grant TPE

Oh and here's a clip of Marshall schooling SGA:

Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

How? Luka isn't the GM or the owner. They ran Brunson out of town, decided Dimwitty and THJ were better than Porzingis, gave bums like Powell and Kleber big bucks, and spent the MLE on Grant Williams. Then to make matters worse they brought in Kidd as HC. Other than lucking into Luka and drafting Lively, their FO has been a complete disaster.

We should keep an eye to see if Olynyk is flipped today. If not do the Raptors ultimately buy him out?

Fire sale in full effect for Utah. They're keeping the core players, but are trading off all the non long-term assets.

Would be happy if Brad was able to syphon off Kris Dunn. He's having a great year for them. Zach Lowe said he was the best on-ball guard defender in the league this year. Similar to Tillman, he probably doesn't figure to get into our playoff rotations but he's good insurance and a good tool in the chest if we need to start digging.

If Pritchard can't stay on the court because of his defense, Dunn is probably the inverse of that, but shooting 40% on low volume from 3 this year so maybe he can do enough to stay out there.

Banton and one/both of our 2nds from 2024. Danny kicks the tires on a guard with a player option and adds a 2nd or two, Brad gets another defensive option for Joe.
