Pretty much all the targets that were rumored to be available are off the market. There's only the bottom of the barrel remaining, that there's nothing here that moves the needle for us in the market outside of a buyout candidate that we sneak an offer too.

The Heat go around, almost 90% of the time, making miracles happen out of nothing. This is the result of that sometimes, you run out of stuff to offer. Trust in a good FO to find or make a way when possible. I trust their leadership

Would it be surprising to anyone if Miami had a single white board that had a single list of expiring players they wanted to acquire with a matching salary player and a 2nd round pick that they're ready to offer 20 minutes before the deadline?

If Lowry is bought out, he can be our PF. Hes got the size for it and already knows the system. Its a win win and we can even throw in a dozen donuts to seal the deal. :wink:

Or they're just content. Hard to really fix anything on this team with 1 or 2 small moves. Our issues are really consistency. Consistency on offense, defense, and play from our top guys. Yes a backup PG and some size would've been nice I guess I understand why they didn't make any moves. Probably didn't want to pour assets into a core they're probably considering a shake up for in the off season.

Yes, it's waiting and lowballing a team against a deadline saying take this or don't get anything for this expiring player. They can do this WHILE doing bigger trades. Rozier was a nice move but there are other huge issues in the rotation.. PF and a defensive center to sub in for Bam.
