So yeah... if they are now good and fun, then all the petulant entitled whining is kind of fun sucking. Isn't it?

This wholeheartedly. They beat the team with the second best record in the league last night. They won despite missing roughly $65 million dollars worth of players. They're playing with a ton of heart, led by White, Caruso, and Derozan. Two of those three are the guys everybody wants to trade, and get back little in terms of current player value. If all the Bulls suck so bad, how do they keep winning? It's HARD to win in the NBA. If we had a Giannis or Embid, I might see the point, but you're not getting that caliber of guy trading Caruso or Debo. Drummond's playing well, and is cheap, let's trade him too for second round picks. News flash, we're already late in a rebuild, centered around Coby White and Pat Williams as our high draft picks, with Lavine as the young present star (he was young when we started it). Added Ball as a young player. They added a couple of vets (Debo and Vuc) to a really young team. If Debo and Drummond leave, what's the average age of our players, 25? How and why do you "blow" up a young team?
The Bulls are not a young team. They are a veteran team. They are the 10th oldest team in the NBA. 20 teams are younger.
My goodness.

I never said don't trade him. I said your reasoning was dumb. Because it was.MikeDC wrote:Stratmaster wrote:Ayo and Pat? Replace Caruso. Stop it.MikeDC wrote:
LOL. I watch all the games. And it's evident that Caruso is the most replaceable guy we can trade. Ayo, Pat, and Craig can all play more and approximate his production.
Stop pretending to respond without seriously engaging the discussion. There's no point to your guys' dissembling responses.
No, I have (and everyone else, I think) would acknowledge that Caruso is better. But Ayo and Pat are good defenders and young developing players.
Getting better doesn't happen through risk-free magical thinking. The only way for the Bulls to improve is to get younger and get more assets. Buy low and sell high. The presence of these younger guys makes it relatively possible to sell high on Caruso. That's the kind of move the Bulls need to make.
The emotional thought process that you guys take leads to the opposite. Instead of selling high, you wait too long and hold on to these guys too long, and then you end up selling low and continuing the long descent through mediocrity that the Bulls are on.
You guys pretend to not be cool with that, but you're too scared to do anything about it. Good way to understand AKME.

I feel like most teams haven't made a trade today.
Granted there's still time to go.

I literally said if Debo (34) and Drummond (30) leave. Two of the other older players, Craig and Carter, were minor free agency adds, one is 33. Meanwhile, we have Ball, White, Ayo, Phillips, Sanogo, Bitum, Williams, Drell, Terry. There are 3 players on this team older than 30. So if Debo and Drummond leave, we'll be a very young team. And EVERYBODY"S arguing to get rid of Vucevic, the other oldest player, lol. He'd be the only player left older than 30 besides Craig.
NBA players hit their prime around 26-27, we'll be younger than that.

With Pat out and Craig gimpy, at least bring in a PF.
