back fill the shooting. Nice.

Another player who wouldn't be moved except for a first not moving for a first.

The Spurs finally get Marcus Morris after all those years.

Primarily the 3, I’m sure. But a ton of positional flexibility with everyone in Indy.

What? Who said McDermott wouldn't be moved except for a first?

We had any number of deals posting moving Dougie for 2nds/expiring and we had posters saying his shooting was too important and he wouldn't be moved without a first.

Great pivot from Buddy to get another shooter who will be more than fine playing spot minutes. Even more important, no chance of Morris suiting up for Indy.

Not a fan of wasting a pick right after on CoJo at all though..

Chuck's in his bag there. I think after Richardson last year, no one thought McD was getting a first except if a septic contract was added. I think at best most weren't willing to trade him for a second during the off-season believing he'd get one during the deadline. Chuck may be interpreting that "uncharitably" to mean they thought he was worth more rather than the price wasn't good enough to not wait.

Basically Thad Young 2.0 except without the random poster giving cover to the strawman.

mostly my old position - left out.

seriously though, I suspect he'll get some time as the second unit SF as will Korkmaz. Nesmith is clearly the starter at SF. the SG should remain Nembhard and Mathurin barring injuries or foul trouble. Sheppard will get some time there too in the regular season but experience will out come the playoffs.

This was how I found out we traded CoJo lol.

It's gotta be a top-55 protected pick or something like that.

I'm not going to go pull names, but man you tempt me when you do this. :D I don't just make stuff up, nor do I understand defensiveness if one wasn't the guilty party....

It’s the worst of this years 2nds for $5.8m cash. Not too big a deal, and CoJo will be waived.

The Charlotte fake 2nd and $5.8m cash for Indy’s worst 2nd this year.

It's fine if you want to pull names, especially if they're me. But like with Thad, I don't think you'll find what you're claiming if you were to do so. I think you'll find what is almost always there -- Spurs fans turning down a trade without it being about "value" and instead it being about a general reluctance to make changes over waiting.

I don't appreciate seconds at this point, but one in 2029 is a decent chip for later, especially given LAC's age. The Spurs seem like they might be making a spot for Barlow on the 15. That's good because he's been solid, and with Collins being banged up Dom might need to play a bunch of games. This also means more minutes for Branham, which isn't great but is whatever.
