Yes, it'll disappoint people but I think his value will actually go up if we wait til the off-season. Most of all, I hate to disappoint him as he seems miserable to be here. I would also prefer to see him contribute to a playoff team this season.

He was probably assured he will be traded at the deadline.

Things can change, he was on a grit and grind Nets team and can fit anywhere. I honestly think Darko and the culture here would be fun for any player- assuming Jak comes back soon and Thad goes back to managing his trucking company.

He also just spent $10k for a jersey number. I don't think Brown is a guy who throws money around at all, so it would be strange to see him give up money for nothing.

He is a perfect teammate for Scottie and even has a Florida connection. Every player just loves playing with him. Darko even scouted him at length and found him to be the best cutter in the NBA. I think Masai targetted him and intends to keep him if he wants to stay.

I say we keep Cowboy Bruce. He has been on the move several times in 3 years. Toronto might be a change to make a home.

I'm 100% sure a competitive guy like Brown wants to be on a contender. And any contender would want him. But he's clearly been impressed with Scottie. What could change his mind about the Raptors is if Poeltl comes back soon and the team uses a pick to acquire more decent depth - e.g. at the PF/C spot - and starts winning some games up to the trade deadline. We're only competing against the Bulls, Hawks and Nets for a play-in spot. I mean, c'mon. Brown is the type of player who can help us beat those unserious teams.

Players change their minds. In the 10-year anniversary vid of the legendary "Rudy Gay for a bench trade", we learn P-Patt told his agent to get him out of Toronto as soon as he learned of the trade. Kyle wasn't happy to be traded here.

We are a unserious team as constructed

"I am a dog," Brown told the New York Post's Jared Schwartz after the Raptors' 126-100 Saturday night loss to the Knicks. "I play extremely hard on both ends of the floor. I can do just about whatever [Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau] needs me to do."

We keeping Bruce Brown?

The more Masai wants to build back up faster, the longer the timeline of achieving it. #PATIENCE

I believe the current aspirations are: making the play-in every year

Masai: "play-in for what?"

Masai: "play-in for everything"

Return to Toronto Raptors
