The thing about it at this point is you can bet Paolo & Franz are frustrated the Magic didn't make any moves. The current roster construction makes their jobs pretty damn difficult

I'd imagine it's the opposite tbh.

Players, especially younger players, don't look at the deadline the way fans do. They don't like seeing their friends get traded away.

I dunno about that, Paolo atleast when Mike Miller was talking on a podcast (I believe Q Rich's) alluded to the Magic's need to make some moves for more shooting etc. I feel fairly confident he was talking for Paolo there.

It'd be one thing if we were the 20th worst shooting team. We are hands down the worst shooting team in the NBA where shooting is more important than ever. Friends or not, its hard to ignore the necessity for better guard play and shooting on this roster.

With no upgrade at the guard spot or shooting, I could easily see us losing to the Heat and Hawks in the play-in and missing playoffs. That would be a disastrous season.

I’m as disappointed as anyone here we didn’t make a move. Unfortunately this front office sat on their hands when we desperately needed a shooter and rebounder to right this ship. As far as I’m concerned, because Weltman brought it Paolo, Franz and Suggs, we have a core. But this team is not built yet and those 3 guys have bought Weltman this summer to fix this crappy guard rotation. If he doesn’t, this time next year he absolutely needs to be fired.

Stupid Wizards prefered nothing than something for Jones. Brogdon and Simons are also necessary for treadmill. I guess you cant help but facepalm those teams. For us its whatever. Would be nice to get them but doesnt really matter.

And that's just it.... how as fans could anyone be ok with this??? If this was any have way decent/competent organization they would have been in a riot if moves where not made to improve the teams.

Especially when the said moves are clear as day that need to be made. It's just comical at this point from top to bottom. This is why no one takes this organization serious.

Because the fanbase for this team is mild at best. Hell, there is no real passion for any prefessional Florida sports team if we are being real. Perfect place to enjoy warm weather, no income tax and no pressure from fans to accomplish anything.

This is a part of it. After 10+ yrs of bottom dwelling, there are no eyes on the Magic franchise. The national media isn't putting pressure on them. Fans aren't putting pressure on them because there aren't as many as we'd like to believe.

Even worse, alot of fans genuinely like the team as it is. FAR too many fans are vocal about believing Fultz is the PG of the Future for the Magic.

It's the perfect storm to wallow in mediocrity.

what sucks is that none of the issues have been alleviated.....same shooting issues....same spacing issues....players supposed to be playing not getting minutes....all of this and more we'll have to deal with for the rest of the season....i thought there was a chance here to help balance things just a bit.....but i guess they want to hit Cabo a bit early this time

50 wins is a lot, don't think "simple trades" can get you there that easily.

Most people just wanted some more shooting though, even if it was trading seconds for Hield sort of deals.
